My gamertag is Moist Morsel. I’m Onyx and I play with friends who are diamond, gold and silver.
I feel the algorithm is overly generous when I’m playing against lower skilled players. I have a feeling I’m massively over ranked.
Just flagging this up. I don’t want to be unable to play with my friends in ranked - we like the challenge and starting weapons…but I feel I’m cheesing it.
This is similar to me. When the game finds opponents and balances things out I find many times that my skill can carry my friends more so often than not.

Yeah man, I see what they’re trying to do, but I’m not an onyx calibre player imo. I play well with my teammates but I literally don’t rank down - in fact I’m still slowly ranking up towards 1600 CSR…meanwhile the silver, gold and plat/diamond players on my team fluctuate so much in CSR due to their fluctuation in KDA. It seems very much geared towards KD spread rather than my performance in relation to the enemy team skill levels.
I guess it currently works out “team CSR is 1000”, where my CSR is 1550, so as long as my KD is 1.55 or above I am ranking up on a win. In reality I’m getting 1.65 on average KD where my teammates are getting below their “average” (silver 0.6, gold 0.75, plat 1.2) more often because the enemies are usually solid teams of platinum 3-6. It just feels “off”
I’m going to keep playing because this is what we play…but it feels like something should change and I’m not sure entirely what they can do about it.
Think I’ll drop in some solo games before season ends and see how I fare in a truly matched average 1550CST lobby.
