Rank

So… how does the rank system work?.. I got Diamond 1 in Arena… it cant be like league of legends because Im not THAT good in halo… so how does it work?

The more you win the more you rank up. As far as I’m aware that’s it. It’s all team and doesn’t matter individual standing. Even if you lead a team like no ones business and lose, doesn’t matter. I think it’s a very poor system, but we’ll see. For all I know, this could be outdated info too /:

  • The first five Divisions will likely be named along the lines of: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond/Masters

If you are that high and haven’t played a lot, its possible that you are just so early in the rankings that you will be placed in Diamond until more players get on.

I just had a look at your win ratio K/D etc and please don’t take this the wrong way, but i’m not really sure how you wound up in Diamond!

I’m nothing special at Halo, so don’t think that’s me being a snob! haha

The ranking system takes in everything from assists, kills, deaths, wins, losses, and several other aspects to compile your overall rank. after the 10 rounds that it takes for the ranking system to assign you a rank, you will be placed into a rank, typically after only 10 round, it is much higher or lower than your actual skill, over time with more and more round your rank will even out, and you will find it suits you better, from there it will go up or down as you do better or worse.

Dude i feel ya. I feel like im an average player. Since its a new game with new mechanics i figured id be at the most a silver. Nope. Platinum. I -Yoink- my pants when I saw it pop up. Im glad I chose team arena as my first playlist so i could figure out which game modes i liked most. I dont think i can handle another breakout or ctf session where someone quits

Well… at least Im diamond =D will i get something later for being diamond?

This is false information.

The ranking system is solely based off win/loss. They are promoting team play by doing this (think objective and not ‘padding’ your stats…)

you cant be right… because I got diamond while there are others that are not and have better win/loss

maybe its something more deep hahaha

not 100% right because I saw that you cant get lower than the rank you are in… like… Im diamond 1… so I can go up and down in diamond… but I cant get down to platinum

Yeah no offense to the OP but I would have guessed you should have started in bronze somewhere looking at the stats not diamond. I have one more game to qualify in arena and looking at this if I don’t qualify above you there is a serious problem lol looking at this I should at the minimum make onyx haha.

maybe there is something like the enemy rank you go against… like if you are unranked and win a team made mostly of diamonds… maybe that counts toward your rank

Its solely based off how much you win. The ranks go: Bronze-Silver-Gold-Diamond-Platinum-Onyx1500-Champion200. Each has tiers in them you must go through to get to the next rank.

It cant be like that… if I am the living proof that a low win/loss can get you to diamond

PS: does anyone has any official information on this?

Details here: Enter the Arena

> After earning your starting rank, the ONLY way to increase your rank is by winning.

I think it’s probably a miss-rank tbh pal, sorry to say! It definitely doesn’t go on just your win loss ratio, because me and one other carried out team mate for his 10 games and we won something like 8/10 games he used for his ranking and he got gold because he was consistently at the bottom with a low KD. But when i got mine i won 6/10 and did alright K/D wise and got platinum.

It seems a bit unclear at the moment tbh, but i have to say pal, i think yours is an anomaly

can be… or its something else
for me its more like your KDA + Win/Loss + Something else (that got me to diamond)…

You get to play against better players, good luck!

As the game takes a seasonal approach, I guess next season (what is it, like 1 or 2 months?) you have to re-rank and by the given number of players you could possibly end up lower than that or adapt to the pace of the game and keep your rank. Give it your best shot, dude!
