Unfortunately, you cannot earn RP or EXP when using Forge or playing Custom games.
I don’t believe you can rank up in Halo 5: Forge. Custom games and forge sessions do not provide XP. You have to play matchmaking multiplayer in the base Halo 5 game to earn XP and rank up.
If you don’t have Xbox Live Gold, you won’t be able to play against other players and get XP.
It looks like your account is brand new and have zero games played. Good luck.
You cannot earn XP or RP in Halo 5: Forge, given that multiplayer matchmaking is not supported on that platform. Only Arena (ranked or social) and Warzone matchmaking yield XP and RP. If you wish to rank up, earn Req points, or acquire a competitive rank, you have to play Arena or Warzone online on the Xbox One.
