Anyone agree? Almost every thread has people pulling stat cards on other people. There was none of that even before the ranking system was even announced. Is this seriously what the matchmaking forum is going to become come launch day, another Bungie.net where people flamed other players because they didn’t have decent stats from the previous game so they didn’t know jack -Yoink-? Need I say that every single person on these forums DOES NOT represent every single Halo player out there, casual, semi-competitive or competitive? There’s about 200k people here on these forums. That number alone does not represent let alone half of the community as a whole.
Oh and by the way I’m not complaining about anything. Im addressing what has become of this community ever since the livestream that 343 did the other day.
Also to point out pulling stat cards is against the rules here on Waypoint.
It just goes to show how much we want ranking.
Most rank system threads are civil and well thought out. Unlike this thread.

Ever since it was announced people have become so aggressive and all hate towards halo because they can’t have a number next to their name… I’ve probably add to how badly flamed this is going to get but I only speak the truth

How much you want ranking? Ok dude, making petitions, and polls that 343 pays not attention to, even attacking David Ellis to show how much the competitive community wants a ranking system? I don’t think so. Pulling stat cards on lesser skilled players is the very reason the competitive community is not respected at all.
I haven’t seen stat cards pulled? Can we do that now? I mean ever since all the casuals now care about “k/d and w/l” and “play to win every game”, they should have no problem with stats being pulled on them because you know… there is no ranking system.
As soon as there is a working ranking system stats will go back to worthlessness and playing to win will be seen with a sudden case of amnesia. Funny how times change when there is no active ranking system. Silly people you all are.

Well, I’m neutral on the situation.
343 can see into the future they knew this would come no matter what and just hinted at and dodged straightforward answering the question for the last year. So why didn’t you expect this once the truth was out?
At the end of the day it came out most poorly a week before release.

I actually the way the Halo 4 forums are now are worse then the Halo 3 forums. But thats me.

Take that as 2 years of us killing each other in reach not being separated waiting for an improvement in competitive play and competition.
I actually don’t want to post in those threads anymore. Because of how “passionate” they’re are about ranking, or because of how “aggressive” they’ve being over it, every comment I make automatically comes off as flaming or mean spirited and most likely reported and hidden. Despite how hard I’m trying not to flame or how obvious I’m trying to express the sarcastic overtone of my comment.
