I’ll keep this short
My friend plays his 10 Team Arena matches to qualify, he gets Diamond 1
I play my 10 Team Arena matches, I get Platinum 1
Now that we’re both settled into the game, it turns out I’m way better than my friend. Higher KD, KDA, and all that jazz.
So why shouldn’t I be able to go from Platinum to Diamond in a few wins? The way the ranking system is set up, I’ll have to play from Platinum 1 to Platinum 6 before I can reach Diamond, even though I’m already better than my friend. At the same time, if my friend fluked his way to Diamond, he CANNOT lose his Diamond rank. So if he’s really a Platinum guy at heart ( skill wise ) but had some lucky matches that gave him the Diamond rank. he CANNOT drop to Platinum. No matter how bad he does, he can only drop ranks within his rank. So if he gets Diamond 2, he can lose Diamond 2 and go back to Diamond 1
But I’m better than him & I shouldn’t have to get a buttload of wins to go from Plat 1 to Plat 6 to prove to the game that I’m better. The game should have algorithms in place to skip tiers entirely. If you’re going 20-5 every game for 5 games…even if you lose 2 of those…the game should recognize that you had a good performance. Instead it only recognizes wins. So I can dominate my entire time as a Platinum player, but if I don’t get those 2-3 wins in a row to go Plat 2, I’ll remain Plat 1. Regardless of my performance. That’s dumb.
anyone else agree?
