ok, say youre an Inheritor in Reach. youre no noob. youve obviously been playing since the game came out. then, you put in Halo 4, and what? youre a Recruit. (or H4 equivalent).
i think if youre a certain rank in Reach, you should be a certain rank in H4.
EXAMPLES:
if youre Inheritor in Reach, you should automatically rank to a General (or H4 equivalent)

No way in mother god mighty -Yoinking!- hell would this be a good idea! this would cheapen Halo 4 by god knows how much! The only thing that should be implemented is the halo Career milestone. I’m 61 for christ sakes, give me something for that except a crappy E.V.A. avatar helmet).

im just saying that if theres a Halo veteran whos been playing for 11 years, has a 50 in Halo 3, and an Inheritor in Halo Reach, why not reward him by giving him a little higher rank when he starts Halo 4?
I don’t think it’s a good idea to pass over one’s rank, however I think it would be neat to have my Inclement Weather Armor Effect in Halo 4. Worked really hard for this.
new game, new rank thats how it works. What fun of the game is it if you already have half of it unlocked. And are you really an inheritor if people are getting there twice as fast as before?
The fun is in the achievement of reaching that point, starting at a higher rank takes away at that. Im a Brigadier and Im looking forward to being a recruit again, same as everyone elseand making it back to the top faster than everyone else on skill, not gift

Because Halo 4 is a completely new game.
Everyone should start a BRAND NEW GAME with the same clean slate. End of story.
You should get some exclusive armour from completing achievements in previous games. But rank? Rank starts the same for everybody. That’s the whole point.

That’s a great idea OP. Not only should we start at the highest Rank in Halo 4 becasue of our previous games rank. If you have all the achievements in Reach. Then in Halo 4 all the achievements are unlocked right away.

i never said i was any amazing rank or milestone. you didnt have to bring up the fact that youre a higher milestone than me. you couldve just said “im a milestone 61”
Sorry that would not be a good idea. Nobody would even start at Recruit on Halo 4 because most people who own an xbox have played halo reach. It is still on the top list of played games for xbox.
