I have been dealing with this since launch. I have had a ticket in for 19 days now and the only response I got was a canned response 18 days ago to check this article. I have also had a 343 Employee on Reddit to attempt some things but basically just what this article said:

In this article it talks about a few different things
1 Ad-Blocker
2. Run with EAC Enabled
3. Scoring Skulls
4. Campaign Completion & Campaign Playlist Achievements
5. Speedrunning Achievement Issues
These are things that could cause my rank to reset every time I close the game. I have responded to all of these items.
- There are no ad blockers installed on this PC. even though they specifically state DNS Ad Blockers which I have none of those on any PC in my home.
- Run with EAC Enabled. I only launch the default game through the Xbox PC Beta app. This shows the Easy Anti Cheat logo on load and have told them this. So this shouldn’t be an issue. Also there is no way to check integrity of files but I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck either.
3, 4, 5. I have never played campaign or single player anything. So this shouldn’t be an issue in their document.
All I have been playing is social slayer and ranked hardcore although I really only want to play hardcore but with getting reset every time I close this is not fun.
The Reddit employee told me they have only ever seen this happen with Windows Telemetry no making it through and asked if I had turned that off. I told them I hadn’t but went a step further and told them that my settings by default were basic but that in windows telemetry had a couple of other options like Enhanced and Full. I asked what level does it need to be set to to work. They did not know what I was talking about.
I have posted a video to YouTube in the ticket to 343 showing me being level 2 in ranked. Closing the game and opening and my rank going back to 1. Meanwhile all my customization to armor stay the same what I have unlocked and applied all don’t reset so seems it is only ranked. I am not sure where else to go from here but I am at the point to just leave halo and move on to other things which I didn’t want to do but not sure how to proceed any further. I have also told 343 I am willing to post a video or install anything I need to get them more debug info to see this. I know I am not alone as I know of at least 5 other Reddit posts that have this issue.

I have the same issue with rank levels but not with armors. Open a ticket too but no response … The only problem I see is Windows Telemetry because I have a special Windows Version : Windows Arium and by default it desactivate all the -Yoink- things on Windows 10 like Cortana, telemetry etc … I tried to reinstall the Telemetry with a little software called OOSU10 but I think we can’t do that 
When it’s done, it’s forever so now we need a fix or something to synchronyse the rank and the progression via Steam Cloud for example ? It doesn’t seem a lot I think ?
Can you take care of this Halo Support ?

We have a backlog of issues so many that have been reported will be addressed in upcoming updates, unfortunately I have not been given an ETA.

UPDATE
I have reintall Windows 10, but this time a pro version and doesn’t desactive telemetry and no Adblock on my navigator.
It happen again … and everytime I leave my game by the button " Leave on Desktop “, it crash with the message " Fatal error! The UE4-MCC Game has crashedand will …”
I resolve the Fatal eror problem sometimes by doing this : Lack of administrative rights could be the reason why Halo reach isn’t launching. Right-click on the game’s exe > Properties > Compatibility > check “run this program an administrator” and it happen less but still here …
Can you do something for the rank ?
So I had to buy the game on Steam to get anything to track. It’s pretty crazy that I wanted to support Microsoft directly and purchased through Windows store and have issues.

It happen on Steam for me because the game don’t use Steam Cloud.
