I just played a game of slayer and my whole team quit on me. I had to see out the game alone. and it ended with 15 kills and 21 deaths and I still got demoted to platinum 5 even though I had to play 4 people alone who controlled all the power weapons… That’s pretty -Yoink-. I am a loyal player that never quits or goes idle. I play fair and when the odds are stacked against me my rank suffers. Please patch this so that if people in your team quit you rank goes into a pause mode so that it is not effected. 1v4 then suffering a penalty… Well unfair lol but none the less thanks for the great game and kudos for the free updates. If anyone in 343 sees this let me know. I don’t know how many of you guys actually go through the stuff on the forums. Cheers
First, those quitters will face penalties, if that makes you feel any better. The more they quit, the harsher the penalties get.
Second, the rank mechanism will not ever drop you down a division, only tiers within the division, no matter how many games you lose because team mates abandoned you.
Third, when ranks re-set at season’s end then you get a clean slate and a chance to start again. Cultivate a friend list. Friends don’t quit.
Forth, I wish I played arena now because a Scottish friend would be really cool, but alas, arena is not for me. Best of luck though.
We shouldn’t lose rank if teammates quit it’s never a day someone doesn’t quit after working so hard to move up and it only takes one lost and u back to the old rank sometimes.
