My brother and I played some Slayer matches together. Keep in mind we played SWAT and both got Onyx. Then we played Slayer together so we played the exact same games, and I performed better, yet he got ranked higher…

I am a Gold and he is a Diamond. Can someone explain this to me? Is there another stat that is going into your rank? I was not stealing kills, so just curious as to how this works out.
The only thing that matters is wins, kills and deaths/assist are irrelevant.
We were in the same games together, hence why our wins are the same.

I’ve 197 kills 144 deaths 68 assists…
My stats were a little worse when I got my rank…
Yet I was put platinum 1?..

This makes no sense though because we were in the same matches together. Getting the same amount of wins.
He could have placed above you in more games that you did above him. Also, player performance is definitely a part of it. In games I’ve played with friends as you have, I got Platinum, they were Gold, In SWAT, I got Diamond, they were Gold.
Also, you always go to rank 1, you can rank up to the higher bracket too (my buddy went from G to P) but you have to rank through the bracket first. No idea if you can rank down a bracket.
Have been going 15-20 - 0-8 kd and winning every match and my csr goes DOWN

Just checked in those 15 games we played I was higher than him in the post game report in 9 of them.
And of our first 10 i was higher in 7 of them.
So there is no real answers for this then. Just the system seems to be messed up.

It seems like they are altering the system a little bit. I did read a post which said they are a bit temperamental atm and just to keep playing as all your stats are still being recorded and you will probably get placed where you should be soon enough.
If you think you should be diamond then you should rank up in gold quite easily. Just play more and you will get diamond eventually if you are that good.
It’s simple. The placement matches don’t mean anything. Your rank is randomly assigned after your first 10 matched.

Honestly, from everything I am reading that’s what it looks like.
