Simple really in Halo 3 you got xp in what ever playlist you played in IF YOU WON
Each win was equal to 1 xp point in THAT PLAYLIST it doesn’t really show SKILL but more dedication to that playlist or maybe just time played in said playlist

Or maybe Rank per playlist kind of like were you stand vs. others in that playlist

I loved it and would love to see it return .

It has No impact on overall SKILL just

This is the proper way to keep players playing your game. Incentives like this that aren’t gimmicks like unlocking specializations/weapons/perks.

The way I would like it is having a performace xp plus a win bonus. Take out the “Staying in the game bonus” which caused problems in Halo Reach.

It’s real simple

Perfomace : 50xp

Win bonus! : 100xp

Total Score : 150xp

I wouldn’t add any more bonus since you didn’t earn it.

as much as i hated participation bonuses. i did rather like the jackpots. maybe they could still do jackpots. only instead of for Exp, its for spartan points. say the best jackpot you could get would be like, 50 spartan points. idk how much spartan points the things you have to buy are but id imagine, especially as far as armor goes, it can get pretty expensive, but the most ive seen is like 3 spartan points or something for a tac pack. so maybe like 10 spartan points for a good jackpot.

Im not sure you even looked at the OP as what you posted HAS nothing todo with what im even talking about .

Would love for this to return. That way, before you play a game you can see how much a particular gamer has played that playlist.

I liked how you only got 1 xp for winning, it made 100 feel like a big number

Yes, that was a great incentive to keep me playing H3 so much. I had like 4000+ EXP in Rumble Pit (Social Warrior :P).

I had that much for custom games :stuck_out_tongue:

I liked knowing in a Social Slayer match who had dedicated themselves to what, and how it compared to the rest of their stats.

It would be nice if they revealed how the skill-based rank and matching players up will be working. It would make these kind of ideas more than just simple guesses for something that might not work. Forming ideas are easier when we know what we’re forming ideas for.

Yeah that would be a pretty good incentive to keep playing. To max out your rank in a paticular playlist.

Yeah same its a big part of why I kept playing anything other then BTB –
I wanted my general in TS it took a while but I just kept going back as much as I could

It gives people another reason to try different playlists or just keep coming back to the favorite ones

Meh… Not really feeling it that much. Not really interesting or intriguing. I really don’t see how it adds anything to the game.

Maybe a better system would be to have playlist specific commendations/medals/awards or something like that?

Pretty much anything besides a simple little number counter.

Sure it does it shows how much someone players that playlist or how much they like it / it would also kind of show were they stand vs. others in that playlist

It gives insensitive to keep coming back to that playlist and to also try new ones

Its was a great system in Halo 3 and I would love it to return …

I always did like the EXP per playlist. It was a great feature. Oh I see you copied my playlist stats. Just can’t get enough of that zombies…

Zombies from Halo 3 Both Ranked and social were epic…

I really really hope they come back as double xp weekends only
