Last season I placed diamond 3 in FFA and slayer. This season I placed platinum 4 in FFA and Team arena. I normally always place into diamond in all playlists. By the end of the last season I was a diamond six in slayer and was a diamond 6 at one point during the season for FFA. Can anyone tell my why I would be placed so much lower this season? Has anyone else placed lower this season also?
Also in the past before I got a second xbox live account, used to let my younger syblings use my live account to play h5 in. Could their different skill level affect my mmr or csr and effect my future ranks?
I don’t have an answer but would love to know too. Last time I placed d1 in ffa, this time plat4. The other thing I’d love to know is how the system decides how much csr you get. One game I came in second only to a champ and barely went up, then I come in 4th to a bunch of low diamonds and go up twice as much, also almost every game I win I barely go up. It’s very confusing. Hopefully someone can explain.

i believe they made some changes to the ranking system and how it worked
There is matchmaking rating called mmr which changes after each game and it affects your csr visible rank. So the csr doesn’t matter anymore and the whole ranking system is weird.
Its mostly about ranking highest on your team regardless of win/loss. Then Mmr gets high which will boost you very fast in csr when you win, but if you lose your csr stays the same and mmr gets stored for next win. So you can basicly rank one rank up in a single game. But then if your mmr gets lower you get boosted downwards in rank.
The opponents rank also plays a huge role. Beat an onyx for many mmrs. Or be unlucky and get beaten by a platinum ranked pro ranking up to ruin your actual rank.

The past 4 seasons I’ve ranked into diamond (Diamond 2 or Diamond 3). Even after Trueskill 2 was in effect.
Was there changes again to the ranking system?
How bad can I’ve played to drop a WHOLE TIER!!!?, I get it I was not that hot, but the whole ranking feels weird.
The higher level you play, (meaning diamond, onyx or champ), I kid you not, the damn headshots don’t register, they just don’t! I am sick and tired of this game, that has gone literally to 5h!t. The inconsistency is horrible. Even the first 2 body-shots its like hitting air.
The skill observed withing the ranks is also crazy, I feel that sometimes diamond players cant even win a gun battle against you, but then you face a Plat that you cant touch, later on Plats look like silver and so on…
The other thing…
Furnace plays like a pile of garbage, worst map for FFA in the history of time, Power-ups and scattershot location is just plain lazy and horrible. (a steaming pile of garbage)
Whitecell surprisingly does not play horribly wrong in FFA, but I would not say is the best.
Seclusion, at least they removed the ghost, that would’ve been hilarious, but it doesn’t that bad, the map is big and when somebody quits the game becomes slow since the map is too big.
I agree the new ffa maps are terrible. They are not competitive or fun at all. I usually don’t play much ranked H5 after my placement matches. When I play ranked I will face people with higher ranks that don’t do as well as me frequently, but I will get such terrible teammates that my team will still lose. This happens a lot, where I will be diamaond and all of my other teammates are platinums and the enemy team is mostly onyx and diamond. Since in these situations I am the best player on the team. I feel like I am treated like an onyx, but I rarely get rewarded with the onyx rank becausw I unfairly get matched with low rank teammates. I know I don’t play a lot after the placement matches, but when I do this always happens and I frequently rank down because of it.
I also have noticed that people who were high skill at the start of H5 have a really easy time ranking up. I know their skill has to do with it, but why would it be harder for a newer player with the same high skill level to rank up? I don’t know if they are manipulating the matchmaking or ranking system. It seems like people promoting the game are able to easily rank up no matter how well they play. It would be smart for 343 to allow them to rank up faster. It would get more players to try to grind to their desired rank and make them play more games, which will increase the H5 population. I feel like the ranking system in H5 is broken whether 343 intended it to be that way or not. I just focus on playing well rather than focusing on ranks, but this system is still frustrating. I don’t really get fair competitive games, becauss of unfair teams. It has made me play less H5.
The reason I originally asked this was because my syblings used to play on this account a lot and I was wondering if my mmr coulb be affected today. Also, I am a much better player than when H5 first came out. I was wondering if the mmr from my past games could be affecting me now?
