Rank doesn't go down when I lose!

When you win, your rank should go up, when you lose, it should go down. Simple. I lost two games in a row and got crapped on. Yet my rank didn go down so I keep getting matched against people of that skill level. There is no fun in that.

I know this is a beta, still I would love to see this bug is getting fixed asap.

I lost 4 games in a row and my rank went down by roughly 1/200th of a rank. What the -Yoink!-?

its not a bug, and it does go down. your individual performance and team performance also reduce the amount you lose if its a closer game etc. at least from what i’ve noticed.

After losing 4 games in a row my rank went down with 1/200th of a rank. Then I won 2 games in a row and my rank went up by 25% each time. By this logic I will become Onyx one day. XD

Your rank will not go down for losing against higher ranked players than you, it will go down if they were the same or lower than you and you lose. Simple stuff. Your rank also wont go down if a teamate left and you have only a 3 v 4.

Why do you think people just quit?

For example in halo 3 (just using it as a example) even if you ended up with a bad kd it didn’t really matter as long as you helped your team win. So it promoted more collaboration, specially in objective games.

In the current system people are more worried about their k/d, if they loose is not like they are going to rank down (for the most part) so their main focus is not winning.

I’m obviously bias since halo 2 and halo 3 are my all time favorite games. But man that -Yoink!- was real!! My friends and I would get so pissed if we ranked down because we lost a couple games in a row. That I turn made us strive to get better individually but more importantly as a team. Improving comms and coordination (when I play ranked solo in infinite no one has a mic, probably 1 per every 12 teammates)

It also kept people at their true skill level. Now days eventually you are going to have a silver as a diamond because they have a lot of games and not necessarily because they improved that much.

Like I said I’m obviously bias and I’m not saying it should be exactly like Halo 3 but I was definitely more proud of my rank back then because it was so hard to get (at least when it came to Team Slayer).

I disagree. You’re telling me if you play a game of CTF solo, cap 3 flags and go 17-10 and lose because the rest of the team did nothing ur rank should go down? I don’t. It should be performances based and should increase/decrease accordingly.

I agree with what you said. But I was talking about an scenario where you have a terrible match and you lose, the downside is almost negligible. If you lose and have a great game I agree that the later should be taken into consideration.

Once you get to diamond 4 you start losing crazy CSR though.

yea lol. in diamond 1 i was about 3/5 to diamond 2, lost 2 games in a row where i played pretty good, I’m almost knocked down back to the beginning.

Alright I give you that. I’m just used to the Halo 5 ranking system. But like I said: I was getting destroyed for four games in a row. Can’t remember how much, but I was last of my team or second to last for all four games. Yet my rank went down only 1/100th or 1/200th. Then I won two games in a row and every match I went up by 25% of a rank. Then I started losing again and my rank went down again with 1/100th. Ugh. So even if I lose 6 out of 8 games, my rank went up by probably 50%.

Yeah I thought that as well until I went down once. I think its based heavily on your performance. If you lose but you still performed well you won’t go down or you won’t go down at all. I’ve only seen mine gone down a little once and that was when we lost AND I played like hot garbage.
