Perhaps OP is failing to understand that from Onyx there’s then a minimum CSR level to hit Champ, and only a limited number of champs at any one time - i.e. the further into the season you are the higher that level becomes. It isn’t like the other ranks where CSR x unlocks rank

The OP isn’t even currently Onyx. Looks like there are under 200 champs in snipers right now so if you hit onyx 1600 you’ll get a champ rank (until more people hit that mark).

Yes but my point is their highest rank us above Onyx 1600 - hence that may be where the misunderstanding is
