Games Halo: The Master Chief Collection

I don’t know if it matters or not but I’m located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. All of my friends that live here as well have been having almost identical issues as myself. I don’t know if our location is playing a role in the bugs that we’re experiencing but regardless I’m going to give you as much information as I can and update this thread as the bugs happen.

  1. When I’m in the lobby where you can choose which playlist to play my rank for H2A shows 1. When I start to search for H2A games it doesn’t show my rank, which should be 9, until the lobby starts filling up with players. Sometimes it will show 9 as my rank and sometimes it will show 5 when players start to fill up the lobby.

  2. I was wondering why in every playlist except BTB you have a max player count of 10 but a max party size of only 4? Big team has a max party & player count of 12. Doesn’t really make sense to me. I’m only questioning this because there was my self and 4 other friends that wanted to play some H2A together. Since we were all in the same party it wouldn’t let that happen so we had to play some big team.

  3. A constant issue that my friends and I are having is when we back out of searching for a game it won’t let us join together again. We all to hit “B” to stop our search and then we hit “X” to bring up our rosters so that we can all join someone to host the search for a new game. After we do that it doesn’t give us the option to invite or join the person we have selected. Sometimes we either wait for it to show up, restart the game by hitting the option/menu from the dashboard, try to invite people by going to the dashboard and going to your friends list, OR by restarting your Xbox.

what I don’t understand is most games say they cap out at 10, but sometimes it has 11 or even 12 people in the game. then when the game actually starts the teams are uneven

  1. Yesterday I was searching with three friends and when the game decided it had found “enough players” it started to load everything with 7 players. Ok it’s slayer so it won’t be that bad with a 3 v 4 on a map like Lockdown. Well when the game started it turned out to be 5 v 2.

  2. Just now I was searching for a BTB game and wasn’t finding anything so I canceled and tried to search H2A. While waiting for that I saw that a friend was online in my roster so I clicked on him and tried to join while it was still searching for H2A and that didn’t work. So while still searching I clocked on his name from the roster and went to “player details” I saw an option that said “Status: Joinable” so I tried doing that and it “worked” it brought me to a lobby where it has all of those open slots for people to join, he wasn’t in the game but there were a ton of players in there so I assumed it was a custom game lobby that he had just left. Turns out it was a big team game that had apparently been setup so I’m like oh cool I’ve got a big team game to play now. I was still confused as to how that happened but whatever I got a game right? Well I was at the screen where it shows the overview of the map and everything seemed to be loading fine…or so I thought. Right now I’m stuck at that loading screen that says “Halo” with “The Master chief Collection” underneath that. I assume the game is frozen because nothing has happened while I’ve been typing this post edit out.
    I saw that my friend was watching Netflix so I sent him a message and asked if he was done playing Halo for the night because it wasn’t working. Turns out he hasn’t played MCC for a little bit now and has been watching Netflix for over an hour.

  3. At times I will go to my friends list from my xbox one dashboard and some of my friends playing MCC. Ok cool I’m going to hop on and join a game with them. The weird thing is that when I get on half of the people on my friends list that are playing MCC don’t even show up on my roster at all. I’ll be able to see some people online in my roster but not everyone shows up. I know they’re playing MCC because they’ve sent me invites to come and join their party/game. Sometimes when I accept the invite it will let me join but sometimes it won’t let me join at all.

  1. I was just waiting for a btb game to load, I was at the screen where it shows the map overview. Just as the game was about to finish loading it crashed and brought me right back to my xbox one dashboard.

Just was a level 5 rank, won a match and now I’m a level 1 lol. Kina funny and frustrating at the same time.

  1. It seems that about 60%-75% of the time after a game it freezes on the loading screen that is shown before you can view the stats of the game you just played. This seems to happen more often after a win instead of after a loss.
