For Reach, will I keep my rank after the servers are shut off? I read somewhere on another thread that once they’re shut off, you lose everything, from rank to armor
I’m a bit confused on this myself as rank and armour can be obtained even offline. I would rather not lose my Inheritor rank but I don’t see why it can’t be obtained again offline.
Unfortunately there’s still a ton of uncertainty for what is actually going to take place after the sunset.
Part of that, is I don’t think they really know yet, to be honest.
They’ve announced an overhaul to Waypoint, coinciding with the release of Infinite - and also a mobile app for Waypoint.
Likely, they haven’t figured that launch out yet, and how it affects all the games and service records etc.

Definitely don’t think you’ll lose rank or armour. The game just won’t be able to communicate with the servers so I presume everything will be counted as offline play, i.e. any further ranking up will be slowed.
You may not be able to download any armour needing external DLC files (e.g. unlocked by Waypoint app on 360) but it shouldn’t affect any base game armours.
You won’t lose anything… but if you look at the chart on the sunsetting 360 services page, player customization is listed under “no longer supported”… so while I don’t think you’ll lose what ranked you’ve earned to that point, it does look like you’ll lose the ability to customize your spartan, since there won’t be any online services anyway, I don’t see what you couldn’t still customize it for offline use…

I am hoping it is just stuff like the Waypoint unlocks. I’m not too upset about losing my Eternal Flames either as I have the Legendary ones but it would still be sad to lose.
