Randomness makes Me Mad- also it's pointless

Randomness is bad

Why have personal ordinance drops be Random - Like what’s the point behind it ??
Do people even like that its random or would people prefer it wasn’t

Why leave so much to luck…

And soooo much randomness in Oddball.

Again what’s the point

Why leave the game up to luck- why make the ball spawn RANDOMLY around the map after its PLAYED ie throw or dropped off the map…

Why let luck potentially cost you the game…

Does anyone even like the Randomness in Slayer or Oddball?

I’m not going to comment on drops, but in an iteration of oddball where you can throw the ball across the map to a team mate, if you’re having to throw it off the edge, that is only ‘played’ in the sense that you had nothing else to do but reset the ball.

At which point, having it spawn randomly is the best thing to do.

If you wanted to give it to a teammate, just throw it to them.

Not played Oddball but on Slayer…HELL NO. Drops in general are stupid.

POD randomness is the worst. Does the guy stood on his base on his base on Ragnarok pinging away for a few assists really deserve a binary rifle? Why should another guy get a free spartan laser and get to completely wreck all the enemy team’s vehicles?

How is having the ball spawn randomly good it takes some of the skill out and adds more LUCK

I Shouldn’t lose or win because of luck

It’s just silly-- what’s the point.

The personal ordnance needs to be standardized somewhat, that much is certain. Seeing the probability chart on one of the bulletins and studying the drop locations in Forge helps, but only slightly.

I think the personal ordnance should not have the main power weapons or the grenades at the very least. No problems with getting the Sticky Det/Railgun/SAW though. Maybe add some of the AAs to them such as Camo.

I do enjoy having ordinance drops because it makes each game slightly different.

However, I wish there was an option to play slayer just without drops and go back to classic.

i loath the amount of randomness in this game, nearly everything is decided by luck and since true skill is actually working makes it a massive pain in the -Yoink- since you aren’t winning out of skill, effort but just because that incerator cannon happened to spawn by you, or that beam rifle appeared in your POD and got a bunch of easy no scopes and so on.

in oddball its awefull, nothing is decided by skill, everytime we play the ball it spawns randomly and mroe often then not the team that has the ball spawn randomly by them wins, thats it, if we don’t play the ball then they kill us and set up, if we play the ball we could pontetially keep a hold of it through out the game by having it luckily spawn by teammates or the opposite is true.

BTB is nothing but BTB team snipers, get lucky with a beam rifle, binary or sniper on your POD? well nwo you can dominate the game!! got a killing spree from it? here’s a refill!!! no game in BTB that i’ve played has been decided by skill and effort, it is always the team that gets lucky with the snipers in there PODs wins, nothing else just that and its incredibly frustrating.

POD, customizable loadouts and ordnance loadouts need to go while patching regular weapon drops so they don’t de-spawn after 10 secounds.

I actually enjoy the randomness, I find it keeps things interesting. I understand that it means that a team can win in Slayer due to luck… However, as everyone playing is subject to the same rules and statistical probabilities of getting a certain weapon, over time any effects caused by the randomness will be lost in your overall performance (better players will still win more regardless of the drops), so I don’t see this as a problem.

However, I don’t see a problem with giving people the option of having a more classic game.

Randomness kills this game.

Case in point. A couple of weeks ago me and 3 of my friends were playing on a forged version of Wizard (HCE map) with the movement speed turned down really low, jump height 0, and damaged buffed to a 4 shot BR.

It was actually a really interesting 2v2, with smart movement and good positioning being vital. Even ordnance drops like damage boost and overshield adding extra strategy to the game.

It was really close throughout the game till about the 450 point mark. Then one of my friends on the other team got a binary rifle in his POD, and proceeded to annihilate. Then he got up to his next drop in which he got a beam rifle. Their team won 600~450, all because of the ordnance he got, whilst my team just got SAWs.

I call -Yoink-!

The randomness in the chance you will get a power weapons in your POD and the other team wont or vice versa it leaves way to much to luck…

I don’t like winning because of luck and randomness and i hate losing because of it EVEN more…

Im also sick of the random power weapon spawning around the map and handing the win to someone that got lucky…

Halo 4 has to many random acts in it

Randomness isn’t a good thing ever a team shouldn’t be handed a win just because of luck

It should be
Skill > Luck Not Luck > Skill

I agree, randomness kills true competitive play.

> I agree, randomness kills true competitive play.

Not only is it bad for competitive game play but casual game play suffers from randomness

It’s just bad for everyone

Look unless you party up and play with a team of people all the time, you have to hope your lucky and get good team mates! So why are you complaining about random spawns and drops when 50% of winning depends on getting lucky with team mates? I mean you could be placed on a team that just sucks…

People should have to push for power weapons and both teams should have a option to get the same one .

equal power weapons for both teams/ less randomness is best…

Sorry i failed…

Ok i kind of see what your saying but ADDING MORE RANDOMNESS isn’t a good thing…

And YES i always play with a full party or team with mics/ It’s just silly not 2

Since I play a lot of Dominion, I am used to the ordinance drops. Sure, there are times where I don’t get a decent weapon, but I know another drop will be coming soon.

Oh, F U N Z B O B, just a tip. Use the Tracker specialization. Getting an extra roll when your ordinance meter is full is always handy.
