We’ve all been there. Life can be cruel and unfair: we get burned, beaten down. It seems that so much of the adversity in life is bigger than us–beyond our abilities. We look at our lives and see the limits of our Req levels and think “I’ll never overcome. Those with higher Req levels will always beat me. I guess this is just how life will always be for me.”
But then…another chance! We’re given a Random Weapon Req and are told, “You can be more. You are not limited to this Req level. You do not have to keep being hurt by these higher Req weapons/vehicles. You are more than whatever Req level that society says you are. Don’t be afraid to take a chance! YOU CAN BE MORE.” So we lift our eyes, pick ourselves up, select a Random Weapon Req, and rise to face adversity with hope in our hearts.
Then, RNG says, “It looks like you keep getting killed by a Wasp. Here’s a level 3 shotgun.” And then we are again reminded that hope is for the privileged, not for us.
I really don’t get this thread but I love using the random req cards. Especially the vehicle ones. A level three random vehicle req sometimes gives you a wraith. I have used the random weapon req and gotten a H2 beam rifle delta. They are fun to use IMO. Sometimes I play entire games and only use random req cards.

Sometimes it’s champagne for everyone. Sometimes it’s just pain for us.

That’s adventurous! I guess I have yet to present enough offerings to RNG to receive its favor.
I find using the Random Weapons fun, especially if I’m at a low level anyway. Getting an Arclight out of the level-3 RW is such an experience, and there’s no words can convey the feeling of seeing a Hannibal pop out of a level-5 Random Vehicle. Getting a shotgun or suppressor out of a level-3 RW isn’t that big of a loss, since they’re cheap and easy to replace anyway. However, I always curse - quietly or otherwise - when I get a warthog of some kind out of an Ultra Rare random vehicle. Unless I’m in a full party and can call someone to drive/gun for me, then it’s basically a super-rare card that just got wasted. Getting a mass production model Mantis out of it isn’t all that better either though xD
I love the random REQs. The majority of the time, I get really awesome REQs from them. I very rarely get crappy REQs from the Random REQs and if I do, it makes it more challenging. If you get a lower REQ, get better and make it work. Half the time, the REQs don’t even matter. You can get a super good REQ and get killed instantly or have a really crappy REQ and do work with it. It has nothing to really do the quality of the REQ all that much…it’s more about player skill with said REQ.

Yea, I like getting REQs that I use to use or don’t really use at all and it reminds me how good some are or gives me a reason to use new REQs I don’t normally use…therefore making me more likely to use them down the road.

if you are comparing halo to your life you need to expand your repertoire of hobbies

Yes! Winning a super-rare Hog with no one to drive it is like winning dinner for two and no one is available.

9 times outta 10, even if I am playing solo with a bunch of randoms…if I pull up next to them in an empty Warthog, they usually jump in with me and assist. I have even had people hop behind the wheel and drive me while I was gunning…so your point of complaining about getting a vehicle that no one will drive is pointless. All I can say is get better with Random REQs.
