Ever since January, Halo 5 servers have been very hit or miss when it comes to game connectivity, I either make it through a game, or get disconnected half way through. More recently, it tells me that my console lost connection to the game servers, what happening?
While my Xbox does not use a wired connection, My Wi-Fi is not bad, I get really good speeds and the router is newer, about 2 or 3 years old if I remember. No other games experience this hit or miss connection style Halo 5 is presenting and I do not get these issues with other devices like my laptop or tablet. I know places like EU are getting even worse connections, but it makes me really wonder how stable these servers are in general when someone, who lives in the US mind you and is told that we have the good servers, is also having connection issues, Heck, many seem to be reporting a similar thing.
343 needs to make some kind of report thread for this, or needs to do some poll or research to see how many are affected, but, something needs to be done as this is hurting that game is some ways.
Since the beginning of the new year I have not had the disconnect problems that I had when the game was still relatively new. I have seen some people complain about it, but everything has gotten better from what I have seen. Like the OP I also am connected using a wireless network.
I’ve had random game disconnects while in both Arena and Warzone. Due to the ransoms disconnects I got banned. What made it worse was that in warzone, I had just used my legendary Oni Scorpion req, only to be disconnected from the game. -.-
IMO I don’t think the H5 servers are that stable or at least not as stable as they were with region lock in place. Something happened to me after the region lock was removed. So my games are very hit and miss. I think we are all now bouncing around different servers in the US. Im hoping there will be a fix for this in Mays update. Maybe give us a option to select what server we want.
Make no mistake though H5 has to have a good connection in order to stay connected to there servers. This game is very picky with this than any other game ive ever had or played. If you can go wired that’s the only way I would go.
343 says they are adding in new search settings in a futrue update, hopefully Reach, could this help solve the issues, is it possible that this could fix that?
