Ummm… because you quit 6 of your last 10 games today? You can’t do that. Well, you can quit, you just can’t quit that frequently.
The ban system is automated. Your in-game behavior was analyzed by computer software, which decided you met 343i’s criteria for a ban. Not every player can be scrutinized for misbehavior at every instant, so there is generally a delay between misbehavior and a ban. You are not extended the courtesy of finishing the current match once you have been marked as banned from Matchmaking.
It may have something to do with you being a DNF for seven of your last fourteen MM games.
