Yeah. I agree. Sometimes though you just get the default assassinations and you could have like one of the legendary ones equipped.

Previous games did assassinations based off of A. Where you struck the enemy on their back, B. Your position relative to them and C. Their position relative to you. If you’re above them you’re always going to snap their neck as they lie down for example. If you’re both midair you will always pound them midair to the ground with your fists and so forth.
Making a random number generator choose an assassination and have it carry out successfully based solely on the generator is difficult.
assassinations are more complex than random weapons and such. And Halo 5 uses more complex animations for them also. Halo Reach has random assassinations because its solely dependent on you, your enemy and where you hit them.
So unless we do it Reach-Style, Halo 5 cant have random assassinations without a lot of effort which frankly could and should go towards Halo Infinite and MCC.
Halo 5s development sharply dropped around 2018 if I recall. No doubt to focus on fixing the MCC and bringing it to PC and to actually create Halo Infinite.
Game development isnt an easy thing.
All they need to do is add a random number generator not recreate the assassinations, if low budget games can do it 343 can to.

I think u are very lost, i have knowledge about developing, this game is complete ok? so you only need a script, this is a way: need a variable, at the start of the game that variable gets a random number, each number correspond to one assasination, when you made the assasination the spartan will do that assasination and the variable will get another number, and that will repeat x times.
Yeah that would be nice for like the assassination only modes I want to use all 7 of the assassinations!!!

That is what I originally thought the “104 Ways to Die” Assassination was.

Something that Titanfall 2 did was that you could choose a random animation, so each game you had 1 different assassination from the next or previous game. It was nice and if Titanfall 2 managed to do it I think that inserting the system you are asking for should not be impossible ^^
Even if it’s true that chaining several assassinations each different from the previous one could give nice moves.

Would be awesome, but then again lots of update ideas would be cool if they implemented.

It could be a good option, but the options would have to be the ones you have already acquired.
I have always thought the same. While there are some great assassinations in H5, having the same one equipped too long has it lose its flair pretty quickly. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

Yeah but you would also need to account for if in air, if holding flag, if holding sword, if holding hammer, if holding ball, etc.
Certain assassinations take longer, so you might get killed because RNG makes you use a longer assassination.
