was boosting his onyx account while his friend was a bronze account helping him. Both got similar kills in the match. I messaged them and they both went offline at the exact same time so that pretty much confirmed it. Ranked should never let 2 people 5 tiers apart party up.
Make it atlleast 2 so that onyx cant party up with someone lower than platinum. My rank shot down after that match because the game thought i got beat by a bronze player.

Unfortunately this isn’t cheating, since the game allows it. But i do agree with you that it shouldn’t be allowed.

It’s not. Cheating is when you do something what isn’t allowed. They are just exploiting the posibilities in the game.
Open up a ticket on support and report the individuals. They have the ability to manually reset peoples rankings.

educated guess. the bronze was a new account. Also when do you ever get a bronze and onyx in a match together? They were obviously partied up or it would never happen unless my team had a bronze and onyx. My team were plats and diamonds.

If I recall correctly back to Halo5 days, 343i do indeed identify boosting as a form of cheating and rightly so.
I came across a team of Onyx players last night with a blatant Gold player on their team deranking with -15kd. These kind of ppl deserve banning as it just makes games a nightmare for lower ranked players and they are intentionally circumventing the matchmaking system.
Not saying they weren’t a team but it’s possible one of them lived in a lower populated region or different time zone. I myself am Onyx as well as one of my friends and we got randomly match with a bronze guy from Scotland because he was play Halo at like 4am his time. Thankfully for him he was on our team.
Them going offline could mean they just blocked you. Doesn’t necessarily mean they just went “omg we got caught, quickly appear offline.”
Because I want to know if Cheaters exist in Solo/Duo controller.

Seems incredibly sus to be honest. What was the other teams composition? Matchmaking should in no way be putting a bronze player legitimately into an onyx lobby unless its for balancing reasons.
youre forgetting the fact that the bronze player performed like an onyx player and his xbox live account is brand new so its not like your case.
And why would both insta block me at the same time for calling them out? sounds suspect.
whats funny is, i had a guy on my team with a mic and he was getting really pissed off because he could sense the bs. The match felt easy at first then the bronze player realised he had to start winning. I just went on halo tracker and apparently my team was suppose to have a 25 percent win chance yet it still deranked me a ton. even halotracker knew the game was rigged
It sucks, it really does. But its just something that’s pretty common to see once you start hitting the higher diamond tiers and entering Onyx.
Its so widespread, you often see posts on xbox LFG posts asking specifically for lower ranks and that they are willing to carry. Super lame.

Here is a good idea next time you want to quit, learned this from a griever yesterday! Just feed the enemy team kills so the game ends faster!

I had a game where all three team mates left, not all at once but end result was a 1vs4. I tired the old Tbag to show friendliness only to be met with try hards trying harder. After getting farmed for a little I thought sod this ill eat my own nades.
3 deaths later I get kicked out the match, lost rank and was banned.
This game is the height of ridiculousness sometimes
