RamboBambiBambo's Armor Core Projections

So currently we have the following armor cores confirmed in Halo Infinite for this season and next season -

  • Mk.7 Gen-3

  • Mk.5 Bravo Gen-1

  • Samurai Yoroi

  • Dieselpunk

What is pretty much a gurantee to be added in is -

  • Mk.4 Gen-1

  • Mk.5 Gen-1

  • Mk.6 Gen-3

  • Mk.8 Gen-3

  • Mk.9 Gen-3

  • Mk.10 Gen-3

  • Spartan Laurette Agryna’s Armor Core

  • Helljumper/ODST

  • ONI Hunter

  • Headhunter/SPI

  • Fractures Belos

  • Fractures Blackguard

  • Fractures Drengr

What I am hopeful could be added in is -

  • Fractures Reclaimer (Alt Universe where Humanity fulfilled The Librarian’s Wish centuries ago, and thus have a hybrid of Human-Forerunner tech for their “Combat Skins”)

  • Fractures Prometheus (Alt Universe where The Didact used the Composer on the UNSC Infinity, but it had adverse affects on all the Spartans on-board. Working as a hive mind, the new Leonidas Prometheans weren’t able to be controlled by The Didact. Instead, they bolstered the UNSC and far surpassed the capabilities of the Spartans. The Armor Core makes the player look like an armored artificial Forerunner humanoid with glowy parts.)

  • Fractures Covenant (Alt Universe where Humanity joined the Covenant, but upon discovery of the Halo rings and learning the truth, they again started The Great Schism. Covenant inspired armor set, with the Helioskrill armor from Halo 5 being used as inspiration.)

  • Fractures Banished (Alt Universe where some Spartans were Insurrectionists and made a deal with Atriox , joining The Banished. Now known as Gladiators, they fight for The Banished and in turn, will work with them to find a new world to call home. In turn, they recognize and support the Outer Colonies as a sovereign union separate from the UNSC.)

  • Fractures Doom Crossover (MJOLNIR armor and Praetor Suit have a hybrid design as Doom 2016/Doom Eternal crosses over into Halo.)

  • Fractures Fallout Crossover (Armor Core with variants inspired by the Power Armor suits you can wear in the Fallout Franchise.)

  • Fractures Gears of War Crossover (Armor Core that is inspired by the armor worn by the UIR and the COG from the Gears of War franchise. I could honestly see them putting Halo 4’s Ricochet armor in this bunch, considering the “Gridiron Football” aesthetic that both Ricochet and Gears of War have.)

Whyaddya guys think?
I know it sounds like wishful thinking, but honestly these are my predictions of what we might see somewhere in the future of Halo Infinite.

How about nah. Keep the art streamlined instead of trying to cram a schizophrenic mess of all types of things into it for the short term gain of cash grabs at the long term loss of an alienated fan base who can no longer take the game seriously or enjoy it aesthetically because it has gone to ridiculous proportions. Just my 2 cents. I should note I am a pessimist by trade

I think you’ve read more halo books than me

If we kept it only mainline, that would leave us with only Mark 4 through Mark 7.

The whole point of Fractures is to introduce armor cores that are deviant form the standard MJOLNIR designs. They have voiced that this would make the game be severely limited in design otherwise. Since everyone HATED their attempts at pushing other designs into Halo because it didn’t fit the whole design scheme and made lore junkies like myself REALLY ANNOYED; this was a brilliant compromise.

Besides, this isn’t the first time Halo deviated from standard design.
Halo 3 had the Hayabusa armor in reference to Ninja Gaiden. And now we have a full-on Samurai dedicated armor core.

As long as we get the traditional stuff at an equal amount to this new stuff, I would say I am satisfied.
Especially as long as the new stuff doesn’t look downright amature in design, like a great swath of Halo 5’s armor designs. To name a few failures of design -

  • Athlon
  • Goblin
  • Atlas
  • Breaker
  • Seeker
  • Stinger
  • Vector
  • Teishin

As long as they avoid the design tropes of these armors, I think it is all good.

Not in total disagreement, by streamlined I mean that it generally meshes with the art style of the game. The fracture tenrai for instance wasn’t terrible, it doesn’t stick out overtly as a sore thumb as something like let’s say, the neon purple robots with tv screens for a face from gears of war and yes Halo 4 and 5 had atrocities I agree. I think as long as they don’t make anything jarringly stark in contrast, they won’t alienate, which is obviously subjective but I digress I think they have done well so far, save minor controversy.

When I say Gears of War, I mean Gears of War. Not the strange pseudo-gears we have gotten since Gears 4 and 5. The BBs robots are strange and don’t mesh well.

The classic COG and UIR armor could be referenced with ease. Helmets? The Carmines all had great helmets, as well as the Onyx Guard and a few others. And I am not asking for a 1-to-1 recreation, but rather an inspired rendition of the armors.

Otherwise, I agree wholeheartedly with your statement dude.

Where have you seen these confirmed for S1/S2

The default Armor Core is the Mark VII. The Halo Reach armor is the Mark V Bravo. Both are available as of Season 1.

I do have them all save for like 6 books.

Ok better clarification. Yeah maybe not fallout but cog halo fusion could be really cool looking and I feel inevitable. Probably one game which doesn’t conflict terribly with Halos art style. Emile and Cat being in gears I’m sure pissed hardcore fans but they didn’t look out of place

Emile especially fit in.
Honestly, I am concerned that Doom Eternal doesn’t have a Master Chief and Emile outfit yet.

Mk 8,9, and 10 don’t exist and it took 10 years to go from Mk 6 to Mk 7

Granted yes, but I think they are a given that Halo Infinite will at least take us up to Mark X by the time we reach Year 10 of the game. And in the game universe, the Mark 7 already existed as of 2554 with Spartan Naomi wearing Mark VII Gen-1 in the Halo Kilo-5 Trilogy.

Decimator from Halo 5 Guardians was an attempt at making a Mark VII platform within the MJOLNIR Gen-2 models.

it would most likely look very similar to WH 40K armor, like lawsuit similar

Warhammer 40k is bulky and massive.

Besides, Microsoft owns Fallout, Gears, and Doom; so it really is not lawsuit worthy when they clearly design their armor to be modeled after their own franchises.

deci was a revamped Mk 5 B and looks nothing like Mk 7

The Mark VII platform began its origins in the MJOLNIR Gen-1 and looked SHOCKINGLY SIMILAR to the Mark V Bravo.
Which is probably why the body-armor itself has a stark resemblance in most parts, mainly the chest and shoulders regions.

Decimator’s helmet was the only thing that looked like Mark V B as a 1-to-1. Whereas the rest of the kit was loosely resembling the whole thing. And if you read the descriptions of Decimator-Class MJOLNIR, you see this -

Helmet Description -
DECIMATOR helmets have a design lineage that stretches back to the final years of the Covenant War, though few Spartan or UNICOM commanders are privy to the full details.

Body Description -
The DECIMATOR is Materials Group’s attempt to reengineer key improvements of the Mjolnir Mark VII prototypes. The most successful of these efforts is the suit’s protean energy shield, which can be partially reshaped and sculpted.

Also apparently the Navigator armor set from Halo 3 MCC/Halo Online has components that were experimental Mark VII materials.

I hope that in the future we get between 8 and 15 armor cores. But if we get 25+ cores it will just be one giant mess.

I hope for a Marine armor core. I think a lot can be done around that theme. Would also be interesting with designs that are not metal.

Would be interesting to have cores from previous Halo titles. A Halo CE core, Halo 2 core, Halo 3, Halo 4 and Halo 5 core.

I like your ideas, but I feel you made a bit too many cores.
