The title says it all. What do you think?
I think that a Scout Warthog usually trumps a Mongoose. It is tougher and it provides the driver with a little more protection. It also splatters people easily.
Now imagine a Mongoose (and even a Gungoose variant!) painted like the Rally Warthog that has an increased top speed and better armor. It would have the ability to easily splatter Spartans because of its increased speed.
I would totally use this thing. It sounds amazing.

You really couldn’t see too much of the paint color because it’s so small.
As you said, the scout warthog beats the mongoose.
It’s very hard to splatter with the mongoose because of its size.
Do we really need another mongoose?

And you would definitely have noticed that I quickly dropped this idea in the Hannibal Warthog thread. I wanted to put it in its own post to keep that thread on topic.
The rally hog is super fun. A mongoose would be great! It would be nice to have a vehicle that can keep up with a speeding ghost too.
That would be interesting… But then the rally scout hog would still be better, as it’s the same REQ level.
You would have to give it shields to be effective.

Sword Needler Mongoose… Oh god… How would that even work…
Well, let’s think about it for a sec here OP.
Rallies are about as strong as ONIs in armor, but lack the special ONI guns. It would be just the same for a Rally Goose so I think that’s actually a good thing, since I utterly despise the ONI Gungoose’s cannons. Ultimately the question is, do we want it to have guns or not? Without guns it’s an amazingly useful A-to-B vehicle, but it’s only good at that. With guns, it’s an incredible, durable fast strike vehicle. Fastest acceleration (the real strength of Rally variants) of any vehicle in the game, given the Goose already beats the Warthog in that category (but not raw speed).
I think a Rally Gungoose would be an extremely powerful addition to a Spartan’s arsenal in Warzone, to the point I’d almost consider making it Req level 4… But not quite. 3 is good enough. Allows it to actually be used.
So yeah. I’m all for it. Outdates the ONI Goose pretty hard but, who cares, those suck.

I get that sometimes, speed is key with me after all.
I want this variant.

The mongoose, I simply won’t use it.
But the gungoose… I’m all for it! Maybe also give it the needlerhog-type shields and bump it up to REQ lvl4!

The mongoose would be nice to have too. It could be used effectively in Custom Games. If you are building a map, and you want people to actually use the Mongooses on it, you could put Rally Mongooses down instead of normal ones.

Rally wasp would be fantastic with the upgraded maneuverability.
Rally rocket and gauss might be pretty sweet, though I’d expect a significant drop in gunner accuracy.
Rally Scorpion - I’d be happy if it just had a faster reload time. And OMG i want to see that color scheme!
Rally mantis - In the tradition of H5, I’d expect it to have optional sprint, just like a spartan. And maybe the ability to jump.
Now if the Spartans could just be dropped off by rally pelicans we’d be all set!

I’m not so sure about the name “Rally Wasp”. I like the concept, but the name is kinda questionable in my opinion.
It would be hard to make lore for it. Why on earth would one race Wasps? Even then, it isn’t really rally racing.
I have nothing against the idea. I think it sounds great! A faster wasp would be really powerful (It would need to be at a higher req level though). I’m just questioning the name “Rally”.
