Rakshasa: low budget spartan v?

The rakshasa has the coolest look but its armor is not on par with previous spartans.

The base layer is a pair of combat pants and a padded jacket. The chest piece is held up with a cross harness. There is no back armor. There is no connectivity between pieces so there isn’t an exoskeleton function, maybe it could stimulate certain muscles.

Part of the lore is that they supposedly augment their armor in the field with whatever they find. Even more low budget. Some parts appear to be held together with electrical tape, duct tape, and even rubber bands.

Even though cortana is gone has the unsc restored its’ full physical augmentation ability and armor production after the havoc she wrecked?

This armor definitely doesn’t rate being designated as “mjolnir” or even spi. Therefore when I see it I tend to think of it as low budget spartan v.

I don’t think production of Mjolnir armor ever stopped. GEN3 Mjolnir was in production by February 2559, almost 4-months after the Created rebellion started. The Rakshasa armor was specifically designed for Spartan operators to be able customize and patch up the armor in the field without needing technicians. It’s Mjolnir armor but more of a version like the Mark VI or Mark VII. There’s also no canon material that supports there being a SPARTAN-V program at the moment.

Not speaking on the lore of the armor, but i think it was made to resemble real life operators in the military. Some of the armor pieces just scream real life special forces. The texture, the tac gear like the trench tool and radios, the “NVG’s”, its all reminiscent of actual real life operators. I think its fitting of the lone wolf spartans.
