I recently started playing Halo 5 and I have nothing and I wanna know if I can raise my level by playing custom games and if not how? Also how do I get req points?
Warzone Firefight and regular Warzone gives you good amounts of RP and XP. Use the RP to buy silver abd bronze packs. Grab a few Gold packs but don’t buy too many of them at 1st. Custom doesn’t give you any RP or XP that I know of.
No you cannot rank up in any way in customs. You gain req points and xp by playing in arena and warzone games. You gain CSR by playing ranked arena games. Warzone games tend to payout more RP and XP but they last a bit longer as well. Now with req packs start with bronze packs but not to long, then get silver’s till they refund two 1500 point req cards instead of unlocks then get golds. That is the fastest and cheapest way to unlocking everything in the req system.

You can get extra packs through joining a Spartan Company, but none through being on Waypoint other than having access to your daily Req pack. I would suggest doing this to help out with raising your level as well as getting you some additional Req points.
