What do you guys think is the best gametype to raise KD? I’m not bad, its just that I played regicide alot when it first came out (a gametype I am bad at) and my K/D kept close to each other.
BTB is a good place if you were to pick off enemies that are own their own.
I haven’t looked at your K/D, but depending on how much you killed/died, it may take a while before you notice any real difference.
Mine is going down & down & down these days!
I guess I shouldn’t play so much LockDown on Dominion while intoxicated!
btb just drives me up the wall & I rage so much at the incompetence of my random teammates!

Honsestly, Grifball is the best gametype to raise your k/d in. That is, if you don’t get spawnkilled. Anyways, I’m +100,000 and I play a lot of Grifball. Just make sure you have a decent team before playing, or like I said, you’ll probably get spawnkilled.
Ricochet and CTF is pretty darn easy. Before going into Ricochet I decided I was going to finally going to get around to mastering the Scattershot and with Richochet being team based I would face easier players (considering I wouldn’t be contributing much else apart from slaying).
Haha I mastered the Scattershot in about 50 games (hitting first in the world for Scattershot kills in Richochet). My KD in the playlist had risen to about 3.5 and I had picked up many, many Killing Frenzies almost 15 or so Running Riots with 3-4 Rampages, 1 untouchable + invincible and about 3-4 flawless games. Obviously my w/l was pretty pathetic (38%) but I had mastered what I had set out to do while also surprisingly increased my overall KD from 1.42 to 1.5 after an already considerable amount of kills (about 23,000).
So yeah if you really want to boost your K/D and don’t really care about W/L then I would recommend Ricochet and CTF (which has the same principle). I would recommend sticking to lower skilled lobbies and focusing mainly on controlling the power weapons (try time them and when playing Haven don’t rush straight away, but slay from bottom mowhawk to avoid possible death. I would reccomend using the BR, Frag Grenades, Regen Field (which allows you to be very aggressive) and the Ammo perk. Don’t try constantly spawn kill because the spawns are fixed and will almost certainly lead to death.
Even playing against skilled players isn’t that hard to get a good K/D if they are playing the objective. In one game I was matched with Pichu Frenzy and his friend against 3 very good opponents (K/D ranged from 1.4-2.1ish) and the other opponent was trash. In the end I went 37-2 while scoring two 20 point goals and winning the game (disconnected with 10 secs to go though xD). The games on my fileshare I think.
Other playlists that can increase your KD would be BTB (especially with objective in now), Flood and Team Doubles (assuming you are playing opponents who believe their primary weapon is plasma nades)
Your KD doesn’t really mean anything though. I mean mine is currently what it is because of not playing the objective in Richochet. Just because I have a 1.5 KD doesn’t make me good. I would focus more on your WL if anything (mine sucks xD like 52%).
K/D doesnt matter. As long as you win games is what counts
> K/D doesnt matter. As long as you win games is what counts
I wouldn’t say K/D doesn’t matter, I have played many Slayer based matches where its so close that a couple players with a good K/D have been the ones who have tipped the scale just enough to win the match.
True confessions of a K/D -Yoink!-:
Of course K/D matters. Players who die a lot are not helping the team no matter how many assists they get. And it isn’t so much the K, as most people assume. It’s the D that matters most. There is a real art to not dying in this game and if you can figure out a strategy to not die then this is what will happen:
- Your K/D will go up. Maybe a lot.
- Your teammates will think you’re a base-loving, camping, useless POS.
2b. People will assume you are a cheater/stat padder. - You will mostly have games where you go 5 and 1 instead of 25 and 5 and this means the pace of play is very slow.
3b. You will get bored. - You will realize that objective game types are not conducive to a good K/D.
4b. Nor is any game type except BTB.
4c. Not being able to play anything but BTB, you will get bored.
No one but you will appreciate the better K/D, so don’t choose this path lightly. It’s a lonesome road.
For me it’s Ricochet lately, I have gone negative a few times out of probably 20, which is rare for me lol.

Yup my Ricochet k/d is the highest of all the playlists I play and I don’t stat pad either. Have won 100% of my games so far too
