A lot of people think that blood and gore will make Halo great again. I dont exactly think so. Yes i agree that it was fun to bash dead Elites and have thier blood go everywhere, but blood doesn’t make a great game, a great game has to have dynamics and a story that leaves you wanting more. A great game has to have that wow factor, that feeling of depression when you finish it. Not blood and gore. Now before you say “Halo 5 is crap, it had none of those things you listed! The story was bland and unforgivable!” Yes i agree it has it’s flaws and things should have gone differently, but do you honestly think blood would make it better? I think a focus on gameplay and multiplayer is much more important. The past Halo’s didn’t have all that much blood before either, sure there was blood, but it wasn’t exactly a bloodbath.

A freaking men brother i agree the blood and gore is not what makes a halo its the story and dynamics of the campaign and the online fun you get with a halo that matter

Exactly! Who dosent love teaming up with friends and tearing through the enemy team till early in the morning? That’s what Halo is all about. Fun, creativity, it’s something so special and im glad to share this experience with so many people. Blood and gore mean nothing.
However much I like seeing people stating their opinions and arguing in a civilized manner, there is currently an active thread on this topic, and traffic on this subject should probably be directed there.
There is already a thread about blood and gore in Halo.
But having realistic war violence like for example a marine got blown up, there should be pieces of him somewhere, or blew up his leg. Same goes with the covenant, like using the energy sword and slice them you should see the cut in their bodies. What im trying to imply is that don’t make it gory but make it realistic on war violence

Don’t need customization either, but it improves the experience for some
It would be best if there was a choice to toggle gore and blood on and off. Those that don’t like it don’t have to see it and vice versa.

I have problems with blood and gore too. But I usually feel like that heightens the immersion of the experience; I end up flinching and squirming at the sight of blood just like I would if it were a real-life scenario.
It makes it more immersive, that much is certain.
