Fix it kuz im done till then. Even before the update it has had THE SAME ISSUES… u guys still refuse to change it. It has so much magnetism that it will go through wall and essentially anythig. Kills dont show from it still… it dosnt take skill at all to use. If u have host then its even worst. U wana see all the times I have been completly shot thru an entire object then add me on xbox and ill put it in my fs…
I could go on and on but for whatever reason nobody wants to talk about this.Its funny because people are getting this fake pride that they have skill with a wepon that is not even close to taking any skill whatsoever and yet u guys wana put it in almost every map. 343 is garbage. Anybody wana read the article how H4 was made my people who hated halo ?
Can’t and can say I agree with you, there has been times were I was killed in such a way were my enemy shoot the ground and I died. And as for the “magnetism” not as much as the BR (oh the insanity!) but different subject for a different topic, anyways yes at times it does kick on can’t tell you how many times I wished it was as OP as you are discribing it because I missed with the damn weapon!

It’s extremely fun to use, and I hope 343i brings it back in Halo 5.
Yeah, it’s bullet magnetism can be a bit too much at times (like, if it’s next to you and supposed to miss, it’ll hit anyways). But it does take some skill to use.
You are over exaggerating about the Rail Gun though, OP. Now, what you may be experiencing with the Rail Gun shooting through the walls is actually a thing called Lag. I assure you, it does not shoot through walls. From your screen, it can look like that, but from the other player’s screen, you were out in the open.
But every weapon has tons of magnetism to begin with.
If you were to make the Railgun have low magnetism, it would be outperformed pretty easily.
I rarely ever bother picking up Sniper Rifles because of this reason. Why go to all that effort when the DMR/BR are already powerful and easy as -Yoink- to aim?
The problem is not any single weapon, it’s how 343I designed the sandbox as a whole. Hitscan, magnetism, and aim assist need serious reconsideration.
Sorry but from what you typed up such as kuz etc stops me from taking you seriously. The railgun just needs its magnetism lowered a bit to make it perfect otherwise it works completely fine

It takes skill not to miss at mid to long range and the in CQC youve got to be careful where you shoot. These things allocated with it are found in the rocket launcher yet that never gets complained about
Strafing is a reliable mechanism to counter the Railgun.
Jumping is useful again.
Thruster Pack is another great way to overcome your foes.
People just mindlessly run ‘n’ gun into a Railgun user then die. They do it a few times then come to the forums with full RAGE mode on then make stupid threads like this and I respond with stupid posts like this. Brilliant isn’t it?
I use the railgun a lot, I missed with it a lot, I dodged it a lot, and I killed by it a lot.
There is no huge problem with it, but for all crybabes, I advice three nerfs to choose from:
-Lower it’s magnetism.
-Lower it’s aim-assist.
-Lower it’s RRR range.
If it’s not enough then please G.T.F.O. and adapt, or complain about other weapons too.

Last time I checked, It doesn’t go through walls. You must be experiencing LAG.
The rocket launcher takes the same amount of skill. I don’t see anyone complaining about the rocket launcher.
The only thing I wonder about the railgun is, that I shoot somebody in the air with it (Rock’n’rail), see the explosion IN THE AIR, and the target does not die. Too much magnetism? Lol.
The Rail gun has 2 problems. Hit detection and an embarrassing amount of bullet magnetism. Frankly I don’t think the Railgun should have any magnetism at all. Hitboxes and projectile speed should be the only balancing factors. It needs to be fairly easy to hit since you only get one shot per reload but honestly the amount of magnetism it has is just silly.
I mean it’s not the only one, far too many weapons in Halo 4 have far, far too much aim assist and it has essentially squashed the learning curve so much that people have little reason to come online regularly to play the game to get better at the game.
