On the infrequent occasion that I land a headshot with a railgun, I’ve heard that familiar “plip-plop” sound. So that got me thinking, was there potentially a medal being considered during development for getting a railgun headshot? Even if there wasn’t going to be one, what would you name such a medal?
I think it was not a medal but just the sound of hit marker for headshot. If you check your weapons stats, you will see that you have some head shots with railgun. It’s not a new thing because I’m pretty sure that you can also head shot with the rail gun in Halo 4 (I discovered that by analyzing my game stats after an entire Spartan ops game with rail where you can pick amo railgun in the amo stocks)
So for me, it’s just the sound of hit marker

Yep, I know there’s no medal and only the sound. Only speaking hypothetically.
The Railgun is a bit of an oddball, being more a “precision explosive weapon” compared to something like the Rocket Launcher. Despite this, I think it’d seem strange to give a headshot medal for an explosive weapon. Just my thoughts.
