Raids in Warzone

We all know what it’s like to be dominated by the other team when they get the Power Weapons/Vehicles before you. You’re unable to actually to do anything because there are tons of tanks and snipers outside making winning almost impossible. This can ruin the match for some drawing them away from Warzone. A good way to prevent this from happening would be to making some feature where enemies like the Covenant/Prometheans raid the central base making it much harder to control. There would be one raid per match and it occurs randomly between the 10-15 minute mark. Instead of the average pushovers these guys would be coming in with top of the line Aircraft, Infantry armed with Power Weapons and ground vehicles bombarding the base from outside. This would make the chances of getting spawn camped less likely if the enemy team knows that they will loose their base if they don’t protect it. What do you guys think? Would you like a feature like this?

EDIT: Perhaps the Covenant/Prometheans raiding the base would be working together?

This will prevent people from being farmed for kills.
What if it was a random base that was attacked?

would love this but i say make it around the 8 minute mark during the first boss spawn

could work except for 2 things. people typically only farm for 10minutes to maximize reqpoints. they then core. so i would say every 7 or 8 minutes when the first boss spawns.

and secondly: make it so that the AI can actually TAKE the bass and revert it to neutral and then reoccupy it and defend it.

This is a very good idea, would be nice, like after a have has been controlled for 3 minutes a raid would occur.

This sounds pretty sweet. Another farming fix would be for the losing team’s req level to increase proportionally so that they can call in a few big guns to punch back against farmers. Truthfully, though, farming is a thing in nearly all games. People want kills! The only difference is that the farmed players warzone are often severely outgunned. i think both implementation would make warzone feel more like the gameplay that people expected it to be

Good idea, if the raiders don’t take back the base they at least distract the farming team, allowing the other team an opportunity to get an armory or two.

So in this situation you’re still spawning at home base. What’s to keep the whole team to go back to the middle base to cap it? They’re still going to be in YOUR armory spawning right outside your base keeping you pinned. I don’t see how that would solve anything. Also, unless the bosses are EXTREMELY difficult, only 2 or 3 Spartans could take care of the AI in the middle base.

Or we could even add a Flood drop pod out of no where and the Flood starts killing things!! :smiley:

Been saying this for a while now. Would change game play completely. If you had 2 bases and pushing for the 3rd you’d have to pull back and defend for a bit. If you hold all 3 then all 3 would be attacked. That means if you are farming and your close armory to the enemy base falls you can’t spawn there.

Plus imagine trying to root hunters out of an armory. Scary stuff…

I would love to try it out. Something should be done to keep people from leaving.
