Raid on Apex 7

Please fix the Raid on Apex 7 Warzone map. The Spire is too strong of a defensive position. More ways to infiltrate the base need implemented.

I do love the overall feel of the map. Sight lines are a bit of an issue, but i’m guessing the map was built like that on purpose.

The worst is when Warden Eternal spawns directly below the Spire and half of the other team ground pounds, then assassinates him from the ledge on the Spire, while the other half fires fuel rods and rocket launchers from cover.

Does anyone else feel this way? I’m not saying it’s impossible to win without holding Spire, just that it’s an extremely strong, uphill position which has a huge advantage over the other team.

Let me know your guys thoughts.

I think the Spire has enough infiltration routes and in my games, it changes hands just enough.

You know what central base in a Warzone map is pretty much impregnable? The Fortress in March on Stormbreak. I think I can count in the fingers of one hand how many times I’ve seen it changing hands. And if the same team captures the Fortress and kills Commander Lochagos, they will win the game 90% of the times. The same can’t be said about the team who controls the Spire and kills the first legendary boss.

I agree spire is a pretty important base to hold, but it seems to run alright to me. It’s not too hard to capture any skilled player with The Answer can take it over pretty easily.

This. I was literally about to post this.

its easy to take over if ur team knows what its doing, u dont need more than 3-4 who know how to use cover and whittle down the marines before taking the spartans

There are 6 ways to get in/on the spire.

It’s fine, can get difficult if it’s the last base they have, but otherwise it really depends. Most easily to take when they all fire at Warden and you come from behind with Silenced weapons and Advanced Sensores. Can pick them out one by one without much resistance and quickly turn the game around, if necessary.

When working well with your team mates it is not that difficult. On one occasion i took it over myself, but the other team was all lone wolfing it.
I have said it before and will say it again, team work team work team work!!

Whats a lot worse is the Storm Break Having a big boss at the very beginning of the game in the Fortress. the killing of the boss sets the tone for the rest of the game most of the time. Lockagoss should not be in there. That would make teams choose between taking and hold the fortress or going after the boss that should spawn where Eternal does And the boss should not appear until there is at least 300 points on the board by a given team.

All of which you are going up hill. When peaking over the rocks into the base the other team can easily sit behind the tall barricades. The rear 2 ramps converge to one. The defensive team just has to post a shotgun or sword person up near the Req station and that is covered easily. The best way up i’ve found are the two pedestals on the sides, because you can easily drop back down and find cover when getting teamed up on.

I’m saying make another way that drops down into it, instead of going up. Maybe make a path in the back where the rock face is that is level with the open deck area.

I usually enter Warzone by myself or with one friend. As much as you would think the other 11 people would love to work as a team, lets be honest it just doesn’t happen. I’m lucky if i get one person on mic that is over the age of 11.

depending on how you look at it, there is more.
1 and 2: the bottom middle ramps leading to the req station
3 and 4: the side ramps leading to the front top of the spire.
5 and 6: the two rock formations on the west side of spire
7 and 8: two different rock formations on the east side of spire.
9 and 10: jumping on the little covers near the 1 and 2 ramps then jumping onto the back of spire from those.
11: running on the ramp from red pill onto spire.
im probably even missing some more methods…

to OP: Spire is completely fine on apex 7, as you can see, there is plenty of methods to infiltrate it. And two out of the three legendary bosses on apex 7 are a good distance away from spire allowing for your team to capture it while the enemy team is focused on the legendary bosses. In my experiences on apex 7, i have to say that it is balanced enough and the spire usually alternates between teams around 3 times before the match ends

All good points!
Most of the time, I as well enter by myself. It is difficult to find people to work as a team, most of them are there to get the most kills they can.

I have to disagree with you, I think its fine, its not that hard to take the spire, grab a shotgun and BR, head into the tunnels behind the spire and come out crouched or have camo and head up the inside ramps with shotgun out, you don’t show up on radar so your less likely to run into someone, and if you do its almost always a surprise for them, and you have a shotgun, just time your time.
Once you get to the top you pick your moment to start firing, wait until someone on your team is trying from the front, toss your nades and use your BR, you can get off several shots before the enemy is even looking at you most of the time, always go for the marines first with the BR, and then they are in a cross fire, either they keep going for your teammates and you pick them off, or they go for you and your teammate gets up and kills them. The more team members that are trying to take it the easier it will be, once your on top, YOU have the high ground and are defending while you take, just remember the watch the inside ramps.

And I agree it seems unfair to give 1 team such a advantage when it comes to warden spawning, but its not a secret, he spawns at a set time in a set location, 2 minutes before he spawns focus on taking the spire if your don’t have it, then you have the advantage. The bases all give a different advantage, this one gives you access to rain death on warden. Plus, lately I have seen a lot of people draw warden into the caves opposite the spire so that advantage is lost.

This guy gets it!
But I have no problem with Lochagos spawning 2:00 in. Just make him spawn in the Cave behind the Fortress and I’m okay. It will be less likely that the team who kills the boss will be the same that captures the Fortress and teams would have to make an interesting strategic decision right in the beginning of the match.

I think its much better than the fortress, they have to leave the base to kill most of the legendaries
