I’ve had more fun playing Ragnarok with CTF than I have on any other map.
So, by extention, you hate Valhalla as well. Your opinion, but I think Ragnarok is the best map in the game for CTF

I second this, I had a ton of fun playing CTF on that map. I hated Vahalla, but Ragnarok is just perfect to me, most likely due to sprint.
It’s my favorite map period.
It brings Halo back to me much more than the new maps. The new maps most of them seem like you are playing on a volcanic comet surface. I mean when I play on some of those maps I cannot help feel like I am on the surface of the comet on the movie Armageddon…
I don’t even know how much fun it is on other maps, because everyone votes for Ragnarok every time… And then you have terrible teammates who don’t even know what they’re doing…
I always hated Valhalla, but it fits better in Halo 4 though, mostly due to sprint and fast gameplay.
I don’t like the map in general. I didn’t like it in halo 3 either so I agree that ctf is bad here even though I have not lost the 8 matches I have played on it as of now. I predict I will lose the next match

Anyways, I played a game of CTF on Ragnarok. I loved it.

its not about how the map is the map balance and ctf on this is not balance because the flags never get passed the hill because of all the vechices on the map.

CTF on ragnarok is great, BUT i wouldnt complain if they got rid of the mantis for that gametype.
if your team is not good enough to stop the mantis from making it all the way to your base you have almost no chance of recovering. i had it happen to me and the mantis guy just camped behind my base and it made it impossible to get anywhere near my base with or without the flag.
Agreed. The one match I played on it was pretty much a complete stalemate for most of the game, imposible for either team to even touch the other flag. The mantis really changes the map…

I played a game or two of Ragnarok CTF, and I found it to be an amazing experience, very reminiscent of Halo 3.
The Mantis does need to be removed for it. It’s physical presence is enough to screw over an attacking team. I’ve seen so many people just run and hide and refuse to help the instant they see it.
I like it so much more now. So many good memories from H3, and the map movement is so easy to predict. I wish the Initial Ordnance respawned faster though. It seems a Mantis or Banshee is likely to spawn before a Sniper or Laser.
