For some odd reason I have been receiving a higher then normal amount of rage quit messages. The real nasty sort, with dispersion’s on my sexuality, Mother, skill etc etc. I only have one thing to say about this. Keep them coming ladies and gentlemen, as if winning was not sweet enough, your rage filled recorded messages are a extra scoop of toppings on my delightful Halo sundae.See you on the battlefield ;D

Anywho, you seem to be in the same camp as I am! Rage quit messages make the game more hilarious and I find them very entertaining to receive, especially since most people who send them can’t seem to pass second grade English
Ironically, I too use a calm yet directive tone when writing back to those aggressive and vulgar players.
I think it only raises their temper.

I always thank them and tell them some day they shall be immortalized in a rage montage. Strangely I get very few responses after that reply.
I usually reply to people who send rage maessages by saying this.
“take a good look at youself, You are raging over a Video game which was made for having a good time. You must be proud.”
I never get a reply back.
I got one tonight:
“Don’t vote for this map and gametype if you aren’t good at it”
I replied:

One game I got betrayed constantly and deliberately by the rest of my Grifball team (they were in a party, I was playing alone). I betrayed back a couple of times to show that I didn’t appreciate it, then went back to (trying) to play the game. But no, these -yoinks- just kept on spawn-betraying me, killing me for the ball, and so on. No biggie, just a game.
The next game, they were on the opposite team. I whupped their -Yoinks!- and my team won 3-0.
After the game, the inevitable hate mail: “F*** you nooooooob!”
I replied “You lost. I guess that makes you noob food”
They didn’t reply.
I just laugh that someone has taken the time out of there day to rage at me over a game.
Some guy raged at me ‘Betraying noob! Go back to COD!!’
And I replied:
Aaaaaahhhhhh… -Yoink!- you off just made my day! And why would I go back to COD? There’s no friendly fire in COD. You should have said ‘Play more Halo!’
No response.

I remain calm whilst responding to hate mail. It provokes them if anything. They just want to aggravate you and get a reaction, don’t give them that, and they’re the ones who are making themselves look stupid.
My favorite chain of hate mail included a ten year old demanding that my family dies of cancer. Nice kid.
