Yes, I beleive it is. If you watched the falling deaths, the bodies fall to where they are heaviest.
They don’t just twirl around, they actually fall the the heaviest part of their body and stay in that position…
I like it! Although I think its jsut a rewritten physics engine
I thinks its cool as well. I think good rag doll is essential to a awsome game experience.
yeah, there has happened some evolution.

I’m not exactly well versed in physics (apart from that which applies to basic chemical systems). Would that actually happen?
I’ve also noticed that the bodies seem to fall at a slower rate, and it looks very odd.
Apparently I stand alone on this… I really dislike how it looks.
I loved how in Reach it was a mix of ragdoll with some animations like arm flailing. Made explosions and theatre mode look freaking epic. Looks a little awkward in this.
I think they are more realistic this time around.

In most cases, yes, although less cinematic, they are more realistic.
However, I noticed a few instances where a player was blasted off the side by an explosion, and their body just became a sitting position as they fell. Wouldn’t they continue tumbling end over end if they were just blasted away?
its seems more over exaggerated which is a gud things considering everything is more power full in the future.

LOL.
I like that Halo 4 has even more realistic ragdoll physics than Reach, but I feel sad that this means I may never see a Spartan floating down a rver like we could in Valhalla in Halo 3 ever again. =(

I think they are giving us the sense of weight. It probably shows off how heavy that spartan is. Or that the spartan absorbed much of the blast.

Ugh, did I just read that?

They are def more realistic this time around while I like that Idk if were going to have as many funny screenshots of arms through heads or long necks things of that nature.
I like silly animations. I think you should have the same fall damage death as you do in Skyrim
slips

Yeah. I’ll just miss some awesome screenshots of Spartans going head over heels into the distance, team rocket style.

This was a joke
I’d rather have a higher/more consistent frame rate than accurate body physics after they’ve already died and are no longer affecting the gameplay. I mean, Halo is all about being unrealistic, and bright colors and cinematic, over-emphasized death animations are a part of that.
