So, i am a big fan of the ability tracker radar, it really gives players a lot of tactical options that they didn’t have before on when and how they want to show on the opponent’s radar.
However there’s (in my opinion) one big problem with it.
Due to its reduced range of effectiveness, the ability tracker is practically useless when a player is behind you and uses the spartan charge, also because that ability has the range of effectiveness of a freakin nuke bomb…
I don’t know if i’m the only one having this problem but i find it very hard (if not impossible) to dodge a spartan charge from behind because there’s no time to react to it, when you see the red dot you know you’re dead.
Honestly, i prefer getting assassinated.
In the end i guess this is not a radar problem, the problem is that spartan charge is one of the reasons why previous Halo games were better than this.
But maybe this is just an old style Halo fan’s opinion…
This was something that happened even before the changes were made to how the radar works. Honestly it’s just something you get used to.

I know it happened before, in fact i’m fine with the radar, it’s the spartan charge that sucks.
Its just Spartan Charge being way too OP, it has a ridiculous range and locks on way too easily. Just something you have to deal with when playing Halo 5 unfortunately.

Have to agree, bad enough the radar is useless in H5 but soon as you see the charge in close quarters it just becomes a cheap easy way to get killed with no way to counter.

Minus having a shotgun there really isn’t much of a counter for it. Hopefully Halo 6 takes it out.

True that helps too but the hit registration is hit, miss. I’ve literally played Infection modes and been killed by the ‘infected’ was taking no damage. Have to agree I wish they’d take Spartan charge out and get back to what made Halo fun.
