I know this has been discussed in the past, but I’m bringing it up again. I’ve read the reasoning for the lesser range, but given the faster movement speeds, wouldn’t it make sense to give it more range? It feels like by the time they show up on the radar, they are too close to make use of it and it’s a panic situation to evade and counter. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like there are many situations where I’m left wondering why the radar range is so short. I’m watching the radar then I blink and WHAM I get shoulder charged by someone running up that doesn’t appear to have shown up on the radar at all. How much experimentation has been done with the range? Was it 30m, then the decision came across that it was too long so it was cut to 18m and just left like that?
Agree, I think the beta radar was good
It would be nice to have it increased again.
You shouldn’t be looking at your radar all the time, instead use map awareness and try to figure out where enemies are by your knowledge of spawns ect.
Radar is still useful when you’ve got enemies under/above you, but you can’t stare at it all game and see everyone coming anymore.
Personally I love it, but I can understand why some people are frustrated by it.
