Radar Poll

I honestly feel as If the radar is redundant at 18m…I’ve had enemies pop up in front off me without my radar showing me anything…what do y’all think

I just find it really frustrating…

I think it works. I’m able to get the drop on people more often now. Just try to be more aware.

The thing I’m working on now is figuring out whether someone is above or below me … which we can’t. It’s like the older games. They had the triangles pointing up or down in the more recent ones. Going back to this method where the dot is faded out to indicate they’re either above or below makes it harder to tell, especially since the game has so much verticality. It doesn’t tell us which way it is, just that they’re not level with us. Which is better I think. Harder is better in Halo. Gives us something to work on.

I like it to be honest. It seem to be at a good balance now compare to past Halo games it has it’s uses still but stops you being so reliant on it and makes you more aware of your surrounding due to this. Once you get used to this it should make you a better player.

The radar feels useless as it is now, the range is so small that by the time they appear on it they’re already in your face

Thats exactly how I feel, the funny thing is I was playing a game yesterday and some dude was on the mic and was like “WTF wrong with the radar” so Im not the only one

Its fine at 18 in arena but absolutely worthless in anything bigger than 4v4.
I vote it Return to 25m all modes outside 4v4

Was it not fine in Halo 1 - 4 or am I missing something…If it works dont fix it.

No radar would be better.

25 may be too big a radius. Maybe 20 is better. 18 feels more like something that helps with small quarters engagements or entering small areas.

I am still learning the game, I have my metaphorical head on a swivel now! It adds to the intensity.

not 100% sure if the radar range is too low or the radar is just bugged but I am missing alot more people on the radar than previous games.

Helps balance out close quarter weapons, due to the extended sightlines because of sprint, I think its fine

I think it’s fine the way it is. It can be frustrating on big open maps like a warzone map at times, but it seems to work well in buildings and close quarters. If it went back to 25m, I think there would be too much focus on the radar. At 18m it can allow you to sucker an enemy into an ambush. Last night during a warzone match, I knew where my teammates were, saw some enemies on my radar and took a few shots at them and drew them to my teammates.

I foresee you or others getting the drop on me, more than once.

I like it where it’s at but I wouldn’t mind it being larger.

I think the radar sucks and I literally get assassinated before it even picks people up half the time, but honestly I don’t mind at all. It makes the game more fun. It promotes movement and not boring, stale, camping.

25m was OP. Takes more skill at 18m.

I guess all the other halo’s had OP motion trackers…“more skill” how does that make sense

I just want it fixed, in campaign I had so many times where a Promethean was right next to me but not on radar at all.

I believe they only show up on radar if there sprinting or doing a ability( shooting, thruster, clamber etc.) If they are normal walking they can be right behind you and will not show up on radar…
