I think that the Radar system needs some work. I dont like how the enemy can constantly see me even though I am just moving around the map at a normal speed. I think it should only come on if I am sprinting, firing, or they seen me. I dont think the enemy should be able to see me on Radar just because I am near him. I should only be seen on Radar if I have been seen by him, or if I am sprinting or firing. I think that makes enough sense to add that into the game instead of what we have now. I have noticed I even see some enemies without my team seeing them or I havent even seen them yet. Where is the element of surprise or just the idea of being tactical? I know its Halo but that doesnt change the fact that you should be able to run around the map freely without the fear of being chased because someone knows where you are when they shouldnt. If this is in the full game when it is released I will not be purchasing it unless they have some kind of gamemode that disables Radar completely. I think no Radar at all makes more sense than having a Radar that makes you always visable. Please fix this issue because it makes the game less enjoyable when I cant just run around and not have to worry about being constantly seen.
CROUCH and you will not appear on motion tracker. It’s been that way since Halo 1.
This is how it’s been from the beginning. If you’re near enemies, then they know where you are. So you crouch and sneak up.
Honestly, I think it works fine right now. It’s comprehensive enough for me to know where enemies are and position myself accordingly, but not long enough so that people can get the drop on me with the Sniper or LR with good aim.
When the full game comes out, try slayer pro.
Crouch walk, or walk slow. What good would a MOTION tracker be if it only showed you anything moving faster than a mouse?
Welcome to Halo, nub lel
It’s always been like this in Halo, and it should always be like this.
The Radar is one of the best things I like with Halo. It’s so much more tactical to always see and always be seen. It changes the way you need to play fps:es.
In Call of Duty for example, where you’re only seen when you shoot (unless you have a silencer), you’re pretty much a ghost running and gunning without anyone knowing where you came from.
The motion tracker needs to go.
The radar is fine and its one thing that hasn’t really changed apart from it tells you what level your on.
And that is why Halo is in this shape…

Oh dear…you’re gonna get it for that one.

There was no crouch walking in Halo 1, so it’s been that way since Halo 2.
CoD added motion trackers, clearly Bungie must have developed time travel to steal that heartbeat sensor idea from MW2 and put it into Halo: CE.

The subtle ways you can spot a COD player… motion trackers vs radar. lol

Are you accusing me of something?
I was making a generalization. There are multiple people in this thread referring to the radar as motion tracker. That’s COD terminology.
I actually really like your idea dude, I’m also tiring of the classic radar and found when I first played COD I was loving how the map system worked
Especially with BR starts radar I believe hampers gameplay, as it discourages people picking up auto weapoons which are outclassed by the BR as most encouters occur at medium/long range due partially to radar
It would be really cool if enemy players only appeared on radar if sprinting or firing and they stayed visible for say 2-3 seconds after finishing firing/sprinting
I like it op, it’s worth 343i exploring

Oh good, because a quick look at your gamercard showed you played a whole hell of a lot more CoD than I have, so I guess you would be more familiar with the terminology.

Lol, good one. Sometimes I get COD and the new Halos mixed up. Wonder why that is?

Exactly, just like when 343 stole thrusters from COD:aw for halo 4
