Radar is so small, its a distraction

looking at it for information gets you killed as people who appear on it are most likely already attacking you. In classic halo, movement was slower, radar range was bigger, I had a much clearer vision of the battlefield and radar was very useful. I would rather have no radar than infinites radar. Infinte needs ATLEAST halo 3’s radar range.

I feel like 343 have a hangover from halo 5 since that game plays terrible with full range classic radar that it had once if I remember correctly. Infinite is balanced well and a big radar will compliment it especially for casual play and better matchmaking.

This is entirely true. I am actually performing better in competitive because there is no radar I feel the instinctive need to look at, but provides me 0 help. I asked a friend of mine if he was okay losing the radar to play competitive, and his only response was “What radar?”

I put tape over my screen blocking it out and have found that more useful then the radar. it is better without it do to how bad it is.

Omg  that might be funniest way to emphasize just how awful it is.

Agreed, I hate it. Halo radar is traditionally 24m, yet for some reason 343 decided to shrink the radar to 18m even though we have sprint and grappleshot. By the time a dot appears on the radar it is pretty much impossible to do anything about it. Give us back 24m for both arena and BTB please.

Seconded, also, I find it odd that they’ve reduced its effectiveness so drastically for what I assume is a competitive reason and yet it doesn’t even exist in ranked… If you’re not going to have radar in ranked anyway, why should it be so useless when it is provided?

Agreed, the radar is useless. Either get rid of it, or buff it.

Totally agree. And it’s even worse that 343 made the BTB radar 22m but left the 18m for 4v4. Just wish they would make it 24m across the board even just to see how we receive it instead of being stubborn. It’s like pulling teeth trying to get Halo to be right.
