Try Changing your Fov it helped me a lot and made the radar feel better but the radar still feels a bit short
people show up on my radar just walking normally, bUt i have noticed in a FEW instances that people just dont show up at all.
The radar feels as if it had a radius of 3-4 m, not more. By the time an enemy appears on it, they’re already right there in front of you. There is very little opportunity to properly assess the situation by looking at it. It’s only useful if the enemy is directly under/above you, then you have some chance of getting the upper hand. Also, if the enemy appears behind you, you barely have time to turn around, they’re so close. The range of the radar should definitely be doubled at least, in my opinion.
Absolutely agree. I have no clue why they’re so adamant to sticking to their guns about this when the response to this change was always negative.
or just dont compare everything to halo 3 and says have to be a halo 3 clone in order to be successful which is a false mindset.
It was 18m in Halo 5 too wasn’t it? Honestly I don’t understand why our ability to see threats coming was diminished as player mobility and the overall speed of the game was increased. It’s so frustrating to be blindsided by someone you aren’t given enough time to react to.
I strongly agree; at least a stick I can throw at the enemy
I can’t understand why they won’t just bring back the full-sized radar from older games, and make the radar show above and below separately. Reach did it brilliantly; why not just do the same exact thing?
I know, from playing with a group of 10 different people, that all different kinds of players are complaining about how useless it is. And for people who don’t like the radar, there’s even no radar in comp now! So I really hope they bring back full-size, working radar.
Yeah fov helped me too, but unfortunately the radar is just not effective at the moment.
As Red vs. Blue famously said… “it’s a legitimate strategy!” Jk it is annoying when people camp for excessively long times, though I feel that’s a map design issue, not a radar issue. I’d much rather have radar that works.
I disagree, it’s definitely weaker but still useful, the maps were designed with a short radar so i don’t they they’re going to change it
I agree that Destiny PVP is terrible, and I don’t play it, but the rest of the game is a million times better than any of the trash that 343 has produced.
The radar appeals to the COD kids who 343 values more than veteran Halo players.
You prefer destinys wizards from the moon campaign over halo 4 & 5 campaign? Destiny plays nice and i enjoyed the raids but everything else is a waste of time. Grinding for loot is repetitive and pointless. Grind for everything then you get reset and all your gear gets made redundant, so grind again the same content for new gear rinse and repeat it kills braincells. That last expansion is the only expansion ive ever seen in a game that removes more content than it adds lol. Each to their own i suppose.
I think if a 343 fanboy like yourself were to ever criticise them, you would suffer a fatal rectal prolapse.
You are the one sounding butthurt nobody else. Go see what xur is selling or buy a new dance emote or sumet. Coming on a halo forum complaining about a studio making money on a f2p mp game saying instead you have gone off to invest in destiny one of the most money milking games on the market just seemed stupid to me. Also the very reason i am on this forum in the 1st place is to criticise things wrong with the game. Constructive criticism, unlike you.
when the radar is this bad they are better off removing it entirely instead of wasting everyone’s time trying to make it better
I’ve always felt the decrease in motion tracker range that happened in Halo 5 was a big negative - coupled with the fact that the Spartan charge, faster sprint and thruster packs meant even if you saw someone coming behind you it was often too late.
I’d prefer 25 meters again but Halo Infinite’s motion tracker is a better experience for me so far than Halo 5 was.
Yes, we need more range, and 343 needs to desperately fix the sound in this game.
Directional footsteps are basically non existent in fights
Good luck on Xbox one.
I KNOW right? Remember when 343 did an ‘inside infinite’ blogpost about how robust the game’s sound would be? In both campaign and multiplayer? They talked about sound being a bigger element in gameplay, now that’s gone down the drain,
