Radar don’t show enemies

Since yesterday the radar hasn’t shown any enemies when close and sometimes only when I have the player in front of me any one experienced this?

I have run into this too. Its annoying to be honest.

The radar range in Arena has been defaulted to be so short it was essentially useless anyway; 18 meters is only good for being a Spartan Charge ambush target.

Yeah, I also noticed that radar was not very reliable compared to previous Halo games. I hope it will be reset for Halo infinite.

Honestly! why would they do this!? this is one of the first things I noticed when I started playing Halo 5, I was like what is wrong with the radar? no range…essentially useless…

And I completely understand the mobility mechanics (sprint, thrust, slide, clamber, charge) all would have an effect on the radar, seeing how it seems as if your able to move across the maps quicker now, so I understand the need to tweak it or possibly adjust its range, but PLEASE 343i, acknowledge this, if not in H5, then in Infinite. The radar range is WAY too short now. I cant tell you how many times like other people posting have stated, where there will be NO ONE on my radar then BOOM i get charged and get killed. Absolutely ridiculous.

And also, please fix the invis, for Christs sakes. I know it was tweaked with the weapon tuning update a few years ago, to appear more invisible, but Jesus man not only does invis last wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to long in this game, but it is damn near impossible to see someone. AND invis people don’t appear on the radar now!? Who honestly thought that would be a good idea? Way to powerful! There needs to be a tradeoff for using invis, sure it is great and important to get in a match. But there needs to be some kind of tradeoff where its not impossible to see someone, and they should appear on the radar as normal.

Take notes from Halo 3 for the radar and the invis. They were perfect. Sometimes, things do NOT need to be changed just for the sake of changing them. I feel like too many changes to halo were made when 343i took over as a pride thing…trying to separate themselves or do things better…

Huh really I didn’t notice that. Maybe I should keep an eye for this now that you guys mentioned it.

Yes man because sometimes the doesn’t show anything your are just there and suddenly pum one guy shows front of you and you are dead, it’s annoying sometimes I’m not saying it should tell yo there’s the enemy there right that corner but come on in other halos the radar showed a at least enemies nearby

Let’s hope they can fix it on infinite don’t get your hopes of 343 helping you with an issue right now

Not at all sometime I have an enemy in front of me I’m fighting him and still doesn’t show in the radar and I’m right in front of him

That’s exactly what 343 did after they took over Halo from Bungie; it’s obvious from every decision they made afterward. First, they “remastered” Halo 1, to make Bungie’s first game in the series over as their own. Then they made Halo 4, which had a completely different art style than prior games. Then came the Halo MCC disaster, which had 343 again remaking another Bungie classic, plus porting most of the rest of the mainline Halo games as well. And of course after that, we have Halo 5; a microtransaction-pushing hodge-podge of other game’s ideas, done poorly, and put together in such an awful way that it’s astounding it was even allowed to happen.

I’m hoping things change with Infinite; their work on MCC is telling me they’re on the right track. After Infinite launches, I’d like it if they took another look at Halo 5 again.

In arena or warzone?
There’s some game modes in arena where you can’t see enemies on radar
In warzone there’s an armor modification that let you walk without being noticed and let him to see enemies in radar even if they are crouching.

I agree with you. It is sometimes very frustrating… In warzone, I find that radar is OK.

In arena, I know like swat that there’s no radar but is just slayer or capture the flag games

This happens a lot in arena, yea the times I’ve played war zone was ok for me, thnks

343 needs to listen to this the radar needs expanded, they have the ability to fix it in Halo 5. They should make it 25 meters in Halo infinity too.

Hopefully they’ll re-address our concerns regarding H5 once Infinite is released; maybe during the process of porting it to PC, but maybe not. But the pieces are there; a fun meta can be made out of the Halo 5 sandbox, and it shouldn’t be limited only to Custom games. Halo can always be better.
