Why did 343 add the classic motion tracker to make it 18m defeats the whole purpose of a radar once again the descisions made are just beyond me…. Radar needs to be 25m or at least 20m by launch no excuses or it’s once again pretty useless

I say maybe 20m 25 is way to high and makes stealth and melee playstyles useless
At 20 you gotta be joking that’s 2 more meters I’m sure you can still be stealthy. They should make the radar 22m would be the sweet spot

yes i feel you, at this point no radar would be almost better tbh^^
I hope 343i extend the radar range, and if they add an height indicator i don’t would be sad also.
They cut off 7 meters, which is between a third and a fourth of its total radius. The reason why it was 20+ meters is so the radar would always encompass the entirety of any small room, so that if a teammate and an enemy were fighting you would have a tool always available that prevents players from getting lost trying to orient themselves around everyone else’s positions. 18 meters is literally so small it can’t serve that purpose anymore.
Lets use a popular map as an example: Midship. Below both bases are grav lifts that bring you to the 2nd floor, but the radar in H2 and H3 is large enough that, no matter where in the floor above you (not crouching obviously), you’ll know where they are and can face them as you come up the lift, giving you a fair shot at winning. Infinite’s radar can’t do this. If you don’t see why this is a problem I don’t know what to say to you.
