Race to Nov 6th

Just finished re-playing all the campaigns (except halo wars) just to get it all going before the long awaited release of H4!

Anyone else doing a quick run through of the games before the release? if so how many good memories came up?!

“tank beats ghost, tank beats hunter, TANK BEATS EVERYTHNG”

I just got done playing all of the Halo campaigns with my fiancee (with the exception of ODST; we didn’t have enough time because I traded in my xbox for cash towards the H4 xbox).

Reach: she seemed slight uninterested in the story; didn’t know much lore, so I don’t blame her for being lost

CE: she started getting into it; I quizzed her on characters, events, and vehicles, and she got 50% right on average. Kept needing to re-explain things to her (the lack of graphics compared to what she is used to distracted her/made her lose interest, I suppose)

2: she started to get more into it. “Can we play Halo today?” she would occasionally ask. She was stoked with the Arbiter missions. She struggled with keeping focused on the story until she witnessed Thel’s shame-branding. Then she said “poor sanheili…what’s going to happen to him?” and the fact that she knew the correct term for Elites (as opposed to Aliens/dinosaurs/raptors/Elites (occasionally) in CE) blew me away…and when I realized she started becoming attached to the characters, made me realize she took a whole new step into the Halo universe!

3: This is where she begged to play every day. Where she told me to be quiet when cutscenes happened. When she got 100% of my quizzes right. When she was hyper-excited that she got to be The Arbiter in co-op. When she even remembered 343-Guilty Spark’s name! When she knew who Gravemind is. When she would inquisitively ask me questions about the lore and about the story, rather than being a typical ditzy girl being all like “well, r da alienz bahd or ar dey all gud nao? dis gaym is confus!”

She even asked me if I didn’t mind that she drove us to the midnight release…without me even asking her if she wanted to go! Ah, yes, best couple months before a game release ever

Then she was devastated when I told her I wanted to play through campaign on legendary first, before we played co-op.

I sincerely hope you play through the game co-op with her, first. At least she’s given you the time to prove to her how awesome Halo is. But congratulations on having an awesome fiance!

Now you’ve guilt tripped me! LOL!

Alright, maybe I will haha. It’s just tradition for me, is all haha

Same here, she played with me once and couldn’t get a hang of the controls, now she won’t play it with me again  lol
