It’s been pondering my mind for a little while now and it occurred to me, there has been a Race gametype in every halo besides Halo 5, they even added it to Halo 4 and MCC after a while. So how about in Halo 5, when they add race as a gamemode (which they will probably inevitably do) why not make it into a playlist for matchmaking? I had a lot of fun playing it when it was available in Halo 4 and I would love to see some more community made Race mpas make their way into the Halo 5 matchmaking.
Although Race is one of the many gamemodes that is not in halo 5 there are more popular gamemodes that haven’t been added into halo 5 (KOTH, Oddball, Juggernaut and Headhunters). Still would like to see it return.
Race has only ever been in matchmaking with game modes like Rocket Race in Reach, which were not races. I think the community has made some gorgeous race maps that absolutely deserve to be shown off in matchmaking. It’ll add a whole new type of gameplay into Halo 5.
