While in a warthog your armour sometimes magically changes to the fotus armour
At the beginning of the race if you keep getting out of your warthog it will keep on generating new warthogs which block the road and can make the game last a long time because it’s hard to get through. Ghost Race:
Players driving in the opposite direction and intentionally killing players (usually the leader), not trying to win whatsoever. General/Both:
Checkpoints not working. I’m not fully understood how this happens but it seems to happen frequently where you drive through the checkpoints but sometimes it doesn’t detect that you do and you have to suicide to go back to the checkpoint that you already went through which is very frustrating and in ghost race leads to players just trying to kill others instead of trying to win.
Boosting stats. This usually only happens in ghost race where players just kill others to boost their stats (SOCIAL PLAYLISTS NEED SEPERATE STATS TO RANKED). I only saw this happen once on warthog race where this player would go to his passenger seat and shoot his friend in the warthog and he would proceed to get out generating absolutely tones of kills and multi kill medals.
I’ve noticed the Fotus glitch before, that was pretty funny. No big deal.
The Warthog roadblocks thing is pretty frustrating. Cost me a win in a game, wasn’t thrilled with that. And so did the ghost checkpoint. Through a second lap I noticed I was dropping in the standings until I realized a checkpoint didn’t register. I ended up in “first” but lost the round because I had to redo a lap.
Anyway, I’d love to see the issues addressed because race is a fun mode. Sidebar, the H3 Mongoose Rocket Race is still an all-time fun game mode that should be added too.

FOTUS armour explanation:
Something in minigame scripting is causing players to switch to the FOTUS armor which often in turn causes a brief hitch while it loads in. (from the patch notes)Race “barricades” Thread discussing this problem.
The Fotus armour is not just happening in race it’s also happened in forge. I found out just by switching to monitor mode and killed myself and when I picked up a turret, I magically wearing Fotus armour.

If you take racing in Halo seriously… well I’ll let your imagination finish that sentence.
When it pops up half the people in the lobby sign out at the dashboard. You know this and I know this, it’s a bit crap and should probably be in its own playlist.

First of all there are no where near half of players dashboarding on race, i don’t even see half dashboard on tankworld and that is probably because of the ban hammer.
Also, there is a difference between taking some seriously, and just doing what you’re supposed to do to complete the game.
Finally, race is not bad it just needs some adjustments and bug fixes.
