With the release of forge I was hoping that other game modes would be available which were in the previous halos such as race, headhunter and many more. Even though they may not be multiplayer playlists I would still like to have them be in forge so that they would be available to play in custom games and hopefully be added to multiplayer later on as they kept the playlists fresh and enjoyable.
Game Modes that should be added:
Infection/ Safe Haven - Race/ Rally - Headhunter - Juggernaut - King of the Hill - Oddball - StockpileAlso the settings to make the variants of these playlists. As these are for the community to create it would be beneficial to have database where you could find maps/game variants by searching for them rather than looking on players profiles as it would allow an easy to find and share great maps and modes with the whole community. This could also potentially allow for community voted maps to be added into the multiplayer playlists.
I agree 100%, community creations (gamemodes and maps) have always been what sets halo apart (and above) other FPS games.

I couldn’t agree more. Some elements would be nice to have added back into the game, as you mentioned with race. As much as I like playing halo as it’s meant to be played I feel it severely lacks the silly or comical game modes that were quite prevalent in previous halo games.(and not just talking about semi fun shotty snipers game modes) They varied up the game and opened up a whole new world to be played with.
Custom games doesn’t add anything to progression mechanics of the game I feel what it needs to bring to the table is fun, and at the moment there isn’t enough tools in forge and custom games to fully realize custom games potential. Some of my best memories come from custom games the hilarious moments from game modes that wasn’t the standard halo game. Having a searchable file browser to be able to download and play other people maps and gametypes would really help in order to get maps out there and help forge communities grow again, while creating the fun silly game modes we have come to know and love over the past halo games.
Plus personally I would love race back since I like making race maps and have no real way to play them properly.
I like how your whole spartan company is replying to this thread. It’s not like it’s the first time you see one of these, they are already working and testing custom games/gametypes right now so I’m pretty sure that you can expect those in January.
I thought they would have lernt there lession from halo 4. With these other game modes, race for example not coming out for almost a year down the road with halo 4. It doesnt matter how good forge is, if you limit the game modes you can create within it , people will stop using it.
I know 343i want users to create btb, and slayer maps for them , but if you look back at previous forge maps even back to halo 3. id say a large % of the maps created were all custom game modes , not currently included in halo 5 which make up the bulk of the appeal to forge. I know they said there going to update forge every month, but im just saying that new game modes shoud be the no. 1 priority for forge right now.
I’ve made race tracks in forge since halo 3, its one of the main things i enjoy to play with friends and share on halorace tracks website ect like others. Even though forge in h5 is damn good , its kinda pointless to make race tracks right now seing there is no gametype for it, and its hard to test without check points , so im prity much putting forge on hold until race gets addded.
Can i just add that they really need to add more fun things in forge like kill balls, mines, destructable objects like they introduced in halo 4…
Lucky for us, some of those game modes have been added in! We got most of those, just play action sack, its got those and much more!, I love how halo is the only game that listens to the community.
