OVERALL, this game looks to be not too bad. It does however, leave a gaping-wide hole in the hearts of us veterans who have been around since that beautiful day of November 15, 2001… We will CLEARLY never see again, a game that tickles the imagination and quenches the hunger of competitive, fast-paced, skilled gameplay… R.I.P. Halo, I guess we’ll settle with this Halo Forgery from now on… :’(

AUDIENCE
17+ rated “M” by the way 343, stop appealing to children with your CoD elements. If we wanted to play CoD we can just pop the disc in. Also, Halo: Reach was the biggest Halo failure to date. Not the worst game ever, but definitely lacking a halo feel to it and this seems to go in the same direction unfortunately… -
SPRINT/CROUCH
this is a significant change for veteran players. Sprint ruins crouch with the current controller layout presented to be in Halo 4. Sprint and crouch should be the same button, just depending on how far forward you are pushing the stick when you click it. -
DUAL WIELDING
Are we supposed to forget that this ever happened? This was the only way to hold off enemies while you searched for a halfway decent weapon like a BR in regular slayer where you stared off with an AR or SMG. To remove this ability would be a step backwards especially because this limits your map traveling even more than it so already is! -
HALO HISTORICAL WEAPONS
Not so important, but every weapon in halo history should be included in this game. It just keeps the story line solid. Did all of the brute weapons just disappear from the universe? They should at LEAST be available in custom games. As far as the pistol of choice, Halo Reach pistol. Just take bloom off and make it spread with Halo 1-like spread. That $%!+ will be Goldie-Lox! Also don’t forget about the Sentinels and Sentinel lasers! It would slide right into this story line. -
WEAPON DAMAGE
EVERYONE in the MP trailers are getting away! Too much cover in these maps, and not enough damage. You should not have a 90% chance of escaping a skilled shooter with your back turned. Takes too long to kill, very frustrating. 4 SHOT BR!
There are a lot of slow-paced powerful weapons being introduced in this game so far and it really looks stagnant already! Rocket Launcher, Rail Gun, Sticky Launcher, Spartan Laser, Grenade Launcher (if it sees Halo 4) etc. Too slow paced for a game with sprint. This game seems negatively balanced between the pace of map travel, cover-to-cover movement, weapon damage, too many power weapons with high reload times, etc. -
The SAW
WTF seriously? This is so anti-halo I don’t even want to bring it up. Its an endless AR. The REAL point of a SAW is to keep heads down while your team moves forward. Not needed in a game like this in any way shape or form, because it would not function for you like a SAW is intended to in regard to this realistic aspect. The U.S. military would decommission High Capacity SAWs if a halo-like world were becoming the actual battlefield of today. -
RAILGUN
Monotonous. Its a Rocket Launcher purposed Spartan Laser. This is useless. 'Nuff said. What were you guys thinking? -
STICKY LAUNCHER
AGAIN, WTF?! After the hype of this weapon dies, it will see little use except for maybe in custom games. It’s not very practical. Just keep the Brute Shot like it was in Halo 2 as far as trajectory, ability, bounciness and damage goes. Just up the magazine capacity to 5 or 6 shots. I mean really, how many different grenade launchers do we need if they aren’t attached to a weapon and only hold one grenade in the launcher at a time. Very useless. Halo 2 Brute shot wins popularity contest of all grenade launchers. -
GRENADES!
Need bouncier frags with better trajectory and higher carry capacity. 4 frags, 4 plasmas. Other grenades in the past have proven super useless. Halo 1/2 got this right on the money! Maybe other grenades available in custom games if you can be able to carry up to 8 total grenades on you, with a maximum of 4 of each type. So (4 frags, 4 plasmas) or (4 frags, 2 plasmas, 1 incendiary, 1 spike) or (2 frags, 2 plasmas, 1 incendiary, 1 spike) etc. -
ARMOR ABILITIES/EQUIPMENT
Armor Abilities are too cheap. It gives bad players a better rank than they deserve. It takes away some skill and promethian vision is garbage. If you are going to nerf it severely, you’re better off not even using it. And what happened to equipment? Totally fragmenting the story line here…
Halo 3 would have been a better game with better damage registration and less equipment (at least in ranked). Bubble, Deployable Cover, Portable Grav Lift, and maybe Radar Jammer were good, fair, and balanced but the others ruined gameplay and gave unfair advantages.

MULTIPLAYER MAPS
As aforementioned, the maps have too much cover for how fast the player movement is combined with the “nerf’d” weapon damage. It is an over-reactive, over-preventative action to a problem which doesn’t really exist except by the whining of BKs (noobs). There is no incentive to get good at this game because there is no visible rank, there is nothing great to achieve like a 50 in Halo 2. If you could get a 50 in Halo 2, you were either a Demi-God, or a modder. Either way, people assumed you were a modder because of how untouchable that rank felt, which was GLORIOUS. The skill gap was also fantastic essentially creating a “Noob Realm” and an “Elite Realm,” where it was simple to start, then fun and challenging to finish your journey. I was ADDICTED to Halo 2 because all I did was play 24/7 trying to get good enough to get at least CLOSE to a 50. Great, great times. -
STORY LINE FRAGMENTING
Weapons are lost, abilities are changing, wtf. First there’s no Brutes or Brute weapons, then there is, and supposedly they were there all along, then a new weapon the BR comes out along with the SMG which made the AR dissappear, but then it came back, then we had equipment all of a sudden, but lost it just as quickly, gained armor abilities that the Spartans supposedly had since before the Mark V suits… WTF!!!
I’m shocked…
