I think there’s probably like 25 people on PC at any point in time total. Queue times are insane, and it’s always the same people on the enemy team. I mean obviously it’s the result of HW2 literally not working for the first month of release, which suck because it’s so fun when it actually works. Now, that’s assuming OP unit spam rushes aren’t used (Jackrabbits, Sentinels, Marines, Locusts, each at their respective times.) When nobody’s -Yoinking!- their way to a 3:30 victory, and every connects, HW2 is actually REALLY fun which sucks, because it has negative population, and after a 25 minute search to get either 2 lv. 50s, or 2 lv 5s, the match is over in less than 10 minutes. Even if it gets a Steam release, the populations aren’t going to be cross-compatible. It’s just a disaster. There’s really no point to this thread but if you guys wanna speculate about the future that’s cool.
They need to release on steam desperately, as they are doing with the DE. Unfortunately, the system the game runs on is windows 10 exclusive and would be really hard to port to Steam. So, basicall, PC is screwed. RIP.

Now, if they managed to give Windows Store users access to the Steam version and then do a Steam release, and trash the MS Servers, there might be a chance. As if that’s ever going to happen though when they’re trying to push the MS Store this hard
You’d think they would let Windows Store owners have the Steam version considering they give an Xbox version which is kind of useless.

Actually funny enough, the leaderboards for Xbox indicates massively increased Xbox population over PC. Probably because of the 15 1/2 barricades to getting it on PC :’)
