There will be no Theater mode for the Halo: Anniversary Campaign. That seems like a major step backward, considering this is supposed to be a 2011-era game and every Halo game since the Xbox 360 has had it. It’s also extremely disappointing. It verges on pure laziness, in fact. It would have taken little time and would not have been difficult at all to implement it. This means no Theater, no Clips, and no Screenshots. What’s the point of making beautiful, intricate new environments if you can’t view them to their full potential with the flying camera (and take pictures)? So much for reliving Halo: Combat Evolved in HD. I’m not complaining, by the way. Just sorely disappointed… everything else is great though.

It’s pretty self-explanatory. It’s a step backward, like I said. There’s no way to watch yourself play afterward, no way to explore the maps with the camera, no way to take clips of awesome things and send them to your friends, and most important, NO WAY TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS of the beautiful new graphics. 343i can fly around in all their videos; why can’t they add a simple Theater mode to let us do it too?

These negative and selfish attitudes really are a let-down.
Typical that someone finds something they didn’t like and complain about it.
The Campaign runs on the original CE engine, it didn’t support theater
There’s just no point to it.

Disappointing? Sure, for people who might have wanted to explore the new HD environments they made.
Laziness? Really? I wouldn’t say it was them being lazy considering all the other work that’s gone into getting this game done. I’m sure there is a good reason it isn’t implemented but I doubt it was 343 being lazy.

I don’t see why people expected there to be theatre mode…the game is running on the original engine after all. To add it in, the game would need nothing short of a major engine overhaul.
