I dont know how many times this has happened to me, but it always seems like it is a chain reaction, that when one person quits on my team, the rest simply “give up” and jump ship. I for one am sick of it. My question is, in Halo 4, should there be a punishment for this type of behavior. and what should it be?
rage quitter’s hell.
you quit enough, you only get matched against other quitters. The problem will fix itself.
This has been one of the topics du jour.
people who quit constantly should be banned permanently from matchmaking. A temporary ban is too ineffective in my opinion.

Thats too much… I mean they did buy the game after all… matchmaking is a part of the game. A temp ban works just fine, perm ban only if they are modding or something…

I know that it seems harsh but if you get temporary ban you will just stop playing and when the ban is lifted you will start quitting games again.
The temp ban doesn’t seem to do anything though. Maybe the game should make their tag “yoink” temporally.

No, that would negatively impact player population by -Yoink!- people off that they can’t play on their mains anymore. They’ll move on to another game and ditch Halo 4.
That’s not fair to those who have bad internet connections and can’t upgrade due to lack of good service in the area (i should know, I’ve been down that road before) and it is not fun getting banned for D/C’ing.
Plus those that quit because randoms suck, well…that’s bit of a grey area for me. Yeah sure quitting is bad but it’s better to take the loss with 0 k/d than go -25 on a team you could have beaten easily with team mates.
With a join in progress system for Halo 4, the quit ban shouldn’t exist. It would be counter productive to the system that fills in the holes for quitters.
How about this? Just assuming we have a ranking system like reach, if you quit enough games you get demoted. Considering in Reach right now I see people close to the rank of Forerunner doing it a lot, might make a good portion of them stop.
